A regular season Philadelphia Catholic League football matchup between the Crusaders of Father Judge versus the Vikings of Archbishop Wood on a Sunday afternoon at Abraham Lincoln High School field in Northeast Philadelphia on October 9, 1983. The Crusaders entered the game with a league record of 1-2 (2-3 overall) and Archbishop Wood had a record of 0-3 in league play and 1-3 overall. Judge had a disappointing loss to LaSalle (15-14) the previous week and were looking to turn things around against Wood. Father Judge went on to gain 455 yards in total offense and the defense posted their first shutout of the season.
