My dad and I were very close, so I love the relationship between Katie and her dad. This is THE MOST PRECIOUS family I've ever seen on this show. I hope she and her groom have a lifetime of happiness and joy.

This happened to someone I knew. They brought the wedding forward. Their father died two days later. Why wait? You can't turn time back to get memories. Beautiful father-daughter relationship.

Not sure how Americans are but in our culture we select a date that is deemed to be good luck and we cannot change it. We can change it but it would be considered bad luck.

I love learning about other people's culture and there customs. I have to admit sometimes that I like other people's way of doing things so much that I incorporate it into my life. May I ask what culture you come from? Yes you are correct Americans do not do this. In are culture we do not have that many customs. We are not superstitious or believe in bad luck. @@deseraecannon-mcdonald7630Hi and thanks for your message!I am Vietnamese American but my family is from Central Vietnam and we’re traditional. It is an oriental Asian thing. Basically, before a couple gets married, you always consult a monk or some kind of fortune teller type who looks up a good date for a good wedding. My late parents said that getting married on a good date would ensure that your marriage would be long and everlasting. That was back in the days though as my cousins who recently got married just married whenever they wanted to. My aunts did not object too as they no longer believe in this custom of picking a good date to marry. I don’t know if this is a religious thing or not. I think it is more cultural. It seems to align more with people who are Buddhist and worship ancestors rather that those who believe in Catholicism for example. You have a good evening too!😊

I cried so much as my dad passed when I was only 24. He will never be able to walk me down the aisle. Glad her father was able to make it. This is so sad! Her father will live forever in her heart!

I completely know what you’re going through. My father passed away 10 years ago, I’m now 41 and he will never get to walk me down the aisle and will never get to see the woman I have become

Yes this can happen. My son was struck by lightning in his house in Mountain View Hawaii. Homes are elevated and he remembers the storm coming through and saw a ball of lightning bounce in and strike him. He was knocked out, but did not suffer any lasting consequences. My youngest was also struck by lightning in Florida. She was outside in a pasture and thrown a few feet away and knocked out also. Praise God they are both ok. I have warned my other daughter though that she better not be around lightning. She too is in Hawaii. Makes you wonder why this would happen in siblings. What about the electromagnetics around them makes them more susceptible.

Very touching story. The body is a storage unit for energy. Through mediation & grounding the excess energy can be released back into the earth... the exit point being through the feet (roots) and the hands. There are people who actually teach this practice as its an old ancient practice.

Katie should have the dress she wants----but she looked by far the best in the simple, champagne-colored dress #1. The champagne color went much better with her rosy complexion and strawberry hair, than did the white color. And the simple satin was much more elegant than the frilly white dress.
