@arrick sherkon Exactly who cares.. They no the policeman was wrong.. Why shoot period. They should never follow the truck on a highway period... All them neglected... Such a shame/ disgrace. Mercy Lord 😢 😢 😢
@@KB-iu2jh no, this is what happens when cops are stupid. I fought in Afghanistan and would be in jail if I shot up an intersection like these cops did... Don't be stupid.
As I dad I would be angry at the two lowlifes that woke up that morning and instead of going to work like the rest of decided to go rob a jewelry store, their actions and their actions alone caused this tragedy.
True but I would still act on this. If you do not speak up then those cops will just do the same with another hostage situation. It was ridiculous how many cops were just shooting. There was even bullets on the body of the ups truck, like what in the heck were the cops shooting at? They were like a fire hose with those guns.
This dad is the most eloquent, articulate, intelligent man I've ever seen interviewed after such a horrific killing. I'm so glad he will be there for his wife, son, grand daughters, and their mommy. What a terrible, unnecessary loss of such a good young man. RIP Frank, my heart goes out to all who mourn your loss!!!
Not even his own son but he considers him as if he was really his own. The extended love for him is very infectious, speaking from experience... Hats off to you sir.
@@reza_dc2 not so shocking.. my step dad sexually abused me growing up. Step fathers end up on the news behind a child's death every now and then. I'm not saying a step father shouldn't be expected to love his step children, it's just that, in this day and age, a lot of "expected norms" are not norms anymore.
I'm also speaking from experience. My stepfather showed me a million times more love and showed me life skills that i use today with my own children. He's the one who showed me how to be a true father figure and what being a parent really should be. He's my real dad. That's the message I was getting out.... Thanks Dave.
@@ucfkid67 That's how it is. Just look at Jeff Bezos (riches man un the world). His blood father left him when he was 2 and his Step-Father for him when he was 3 (or so) and raised him to be the man he is. He calls his StepFather, Dad!
Have you ever had to fire a weapon while being fired upon? It takes a massive act of self discipline to hold your fire and fire back at ONLY what you directly intend to fire upon.
@Kwum aix the Taliban have done a poor job of keeping their Community safe and it's too bad they were too cowardly to face the US Army Head to Head. So basically your heroes are cowards
@Kwum aix yup you're right cops should of never intervened and just let the crimals kill him, then hopefully run to your house next. Stop blaming cops for trying to do their jobs. Try blaming the criminals unless you are one.
They where asking for a shootout they should have kept their distance behind the truck and not surround it when it got stuck in traffic. They need to learn from LAPD.
They should have never approached the truck in the first place... All they had to do was let the helicopter follow the truck... And take them in a less populated area... These guys had to believe the police wouldn't shoot if they took a hostage... It's very possible a sniper could have saved this man... As far as I am concerned his father is right...
L Radiant yes!! Helicopter should’ve been close, cop cars should’ve kept there distance and followed til the ups truck ran out of gas, then negotiations could’ve taken place.
Remember in L.A. one of the cops went rogue and started killing off other cops a little over a decade ago? The L.A. police force's response was to stop everyone and shoot everyone. Or even more recently when the police shot the off duty veteran. They filled him with 60-70 rounds when he didn't fire one then the news says it's okay because it was just adrenaline or that the police aren't used to be hunted. That everything is fine when the cops do it regardless of how many people they kill at point blank range without reason but if the citizens look at the police, God help them.
Slacker my name is Gregg Bruce and I say the innocent people put in jeopardy by the trigger happy, outlaw, and reckless police should have been run over or shot by the bystanders to protect themselves.
goes far to show the police don't care a wit about innocent civilians. they'll gun us down and use us as shield to fulfill their orders. this incident shows I'm right.
@@gregfalco4528 does that explain why when one of their own falls they work feverishly and often band many together in a massive manhunt until the suspect is captured / killed, instead of calling it a day and clocking out when it's a regular joe? I think I answered my own question here.
Harry H the family will take recourse They will win their case It may not be in the news but believe me they will get justice for this poor man that was murdered
I know it will never happen but all 19 of those cops should do time. That would send a message that protecting the innocent comes before killing the guilty.
They should just let criminals that take people hostage go. Like if it were my sister being held hostage, I'd rather they rape and torture her. In fact unless someones hurt, people should be allowed to walk into anyone's home and take what they want without fear of gunplay
@Zilla Zalo correct, that is their motto. Doesn't mean they follow it. Police will always respond to one of their own in danger, faster than you or I in danger. They were just worried about the hail of bullets coming at them, and they lost control, protocol with hostages and innocent civilians went to the wayside, and both the suspects and police put innocent lives at risk, and it did result in the loss of two innocent lives. They just call it collateral damage, the same term used when innocent civilians are killed in war. Difference is, police are also civilians whom took a job (usually off a civil service exam), to uphold the law, and protect public property and public interest. They are not military.....
Recklessness on their part, as the father said, they get to go home and Frank did not, my granddaughter lost her father in A car accident 10 months ago, and the pain in Unimaginable, 🙏 for the family
@Scriptures Only The police work for the insurance companies. Think about it. If you get in an accident or get robbed, your insurance company wants a police report. You get fined for speeding or seat belts not because of safety, but because of actuarial tables.
“. A woman inside the store was shot in the head during the shooting and was taken to a hospital “ . These guys attempted to kill someone in the store. At that moment, lethal force is justified. The suspects were also firing on the police at that intersection. Are your eyes closed or do you just hate the police???
I feel awful for his family and his kids. And the other man who was killed. It’s crazy how some drivers were in shock and didn’t want to speed the heck out of there. Terrible for everyone involved especially Frank! Sounded like a great man. 27 and working UPS I respect that
We need to march for franky hit the streets he needs justice..Let hes Name be heard he died in vain they spill our blood and live above the law they only care for blue..they have a duty to protect and serve who can we rely on..scream his name let it be heard so they are shamed for they're actions
This man is my hero. Hes put his emotion aside and is going to make a difference. I can only pray that I would be as strong if my son was murdered by police.
In another interview, a police officer said “if the criminals just give up and are held accountable for their crimes, we wouldn’t put this many people in danger” I smell incompetence and ignorance.
that sentence makes no sense, it is a shuck and jive avoidance of responsibility i.e: everyone else is responsible, not them. which a lot of cops do. they talk.
One person dies in a “mass shooting” and the media is all over it. But when police officers kills people it doesn’t matter because he has a badge and some sort of costume on ? These people who want to “ban guns” don’t actually want to ban guns. They want to take away the guns from the powerless majority and give them to a small group of people, the police. NEWS FLASH!! The police kill more people each year than all mass shooting in US history combined. News flash the police are also human. If the natural tendencies of mankind are so bad that it is not safe to permit people to be free, how is it that the tendencies of these organizers are always good? Do not the legislators and their appointed agents(police) also belong to the human race? Or do they believe that they themselves are made of a finer clay than the rest of mankind? Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough.
This was completely mishandled by law enforcement. The people need to demand an independent investigation not only into law enforcement actions that day, but internal protocols on how these situations are handled. Like the father said," I'm not a cop or lawyer, but I have common sense". I'm sure the protocol is not to shoot the bejesus out of a vehicle with a hostage in it while endangering innocent bystanders and using civilian vehicles with civilians in them as shields. Despicable!
Why don't police officers just give up their guns / weapons like in the old days in London, England. However, just the dad guys will have guns / weapons
@@pcrealty You're right, Peter. However, a whole bunch of us good guys would still have firearms... And if we wanted, we could go back to the days before we formed police forces, and we citizens could be responsible for maintaining peace.
They will pay a settlement. Nothing will happen to the officers......cops murder people all the time....havent you guys realized yet. The cops dont work for us. They work for the state, which once the state employees are elected dont work for us any more. This country is cruising towards a wreckoning. We have a president that lies, we have crooked politicians. We have false narritives put out by the news. Hmmm i think America has already been changed.
That's right... Because the police carjacked the UPS truck and shoot at responding officers. This wasn't a scene from Bad boys 2. In real life, situations like this end tragically
The forgotten Ghost sadly they won’t remember him 😢. As they grow older all they’ll have to remember him are from pictures and before anyone speaks bad on me. My dad got hurt when I was 7 so just a little older then his oldest girl and I don’t remember our memories. All I have is stories people tell me and the pictures I have.
Monstar A You are absolutely correct. They didn’t created the robbery, but the did created the gun battle. Highly intelligent thinkers as those police officers know not to cross the line. They understand how important protocols is at the workplace and their sworn oath is to protect and serve the citizens.
@@AJ-sr3hl Pretty sure the people who were shooting at other people first created the gun battle. And that wasn't the police. They were shooting at people before the police even showed up. But the police caused them to shoot their weapons before they were even there?! Yeah, sure. "Not their fault!"
Monstar A the jewelry store is insured for everything that was stolen. The police does a risk assessment before going after suspects. This was not worth it. They put a lot of people lives in danger and the ups driver was not killed by the thieves he was killed by the police and they need to answer for that.
@@LA-li4yw The police do a risk assessment? Like they come out and say "what was stolen, how much" and then whip out their calculator? Pretty sure "suspects shooting at jewelry store owner" puts them in the "apprehend them and shoot them if you must" category. It's not a mere theft when they're shooting at people in the process. Huge difference. And since when does people shooting people fall in the "nah, let them go" category of the assessment? Since when did this country go "bad guy is shooting at people, cops need to let them go"?
Nicky James Really? I appreciated your comment so much....then looked at the replies to see you had to bring trump into the conversation....get over your hurt feelings and leave “the evil man” who was elected into his position out of it for once. Youre a ridiculous person.
@Ripley It's a typical middle-class house in S. Florida, and he is a retired UPS worker. Anyone can own anything, just work hard like he and his son did.
Wow my heart breaks for his father and family. He is so articulate and calm speaking to the reporter. This could have been avoided. The police were definitely wreckless.
Lol lady you know damn well those cops shot him. You can see clear as day the cops shot him in the back while he trying to get out that truck. They shot indiscriminately. They didn’t care who got shot.
Before assumptions are made, be a professional and wait for evidence first. But hey, opinions by those who are ignorant are always known to be fact before proof is provided.
@@reedrk88t Are we still waiting for Assivedo in Houston to tell us the cops were shooting at each other and that Tuttle and Nichols never fired a shot?
Yeah, they shoot until the bullets runs out and they do a tactical reload. In some cases, a settlement is smaller when the suspect is dead rather if they have to be in a wheel chair the rest of their life.
We are dealing with mentally ill robbers. There are reasoning at this point. Police cannot ask the robbers can you please put down your weapons when the robbers are psychotic.
Dont forget the innocent bystander that also got killed while in the car. Was it from a police bullet, or from the suspects?? That also needs to be investigated.
Ouuuuuu the paper work that is about the descend on them. I remember working for a police department and being investigated because someone said nudged them. They gave me heat like hell, so i quit. These guy deserve everything they are about to get from media, families, the public, and their department
whether he was shot by police or the suspects doesn't matter. if the police had not engaged in a crowded freeway no one would have been in danger and died
Not even that. Those officers chose to instigate the shootout there. Normally you'd wait until he exits the vehicle on foot (they nearly always leave the hostage behind and run) They just didn't want to wait for the proper time. Florida police departments have always been disgraceful.
I'm a police and at the time this happened i was saying the same damn thing. Too much technology for them not to call UPS at the time of the chase. The chase lasted an hour i believe. This is totally wrong by the department. They murdered that young man! All that fired shots should be fired and criminal negligence charges filed!
@@gmann1572 Well, at least there's some police officers who see the truth. A hostage situation should always have a protocol. Plus there's GPS in u.p.s trucks. They also killed a random guy who was just sitting in his car and had nothing to with anything. The fact I see so many citizens defending the cops on this, is highly disappointing and very sad.

The officers should get the same treatment as the officers who didnt act on the school shooting. To hell with all the lawsuit talk, two i innocent people lost their lives all due to police negligence
Yeah. Soon as people started shooting, the police should have just left! They're not there to enforce the law and shoot back at people shooting at them!
In rush hour traffic. NO SHOT should have ever been fired. This is f#!@&*g believable. Go get them dad. Every officer that fired a shot. Should be fired and charged. Jailed for a very long time. Negligence is not a strong enough word for their incompetence.
@@SuperMontsta well in a hostage situation they're not supposed to follow so closely and if a shooting does happen officers are supposed to shoot only if they have a clear shot while analyzing the backdrop
@@gill4253 That's what the protocols say for all their agencies? You can say this with 100% fact? Or, is this something you saw in the movies? No imminent danger...if someone starts shooting, you let then shoot? If it's in a mall or school, or crowded intersection...wait till they stop shooting and then make sure you have a clear shot? Guess that Deputy who stood outside the school while the kid was shooting it up, and let all them die because he was "waiting for more people" wasn't a coward not doing his job after all!
@@SuperMontsta lol you're comparing 2 different types of criminals in 2 different types of situations. That school shooter was targeting people and his objective was kill as many as possible. In this case the cops cornered these thieves whose main objective was to get away, I cant say they wouldn't have killed their hostage forsure but I'm pretty sure he would've had a better chance to live. The thieves weren't shooting out of the truck while driving, it was only until they were forced to stop. Even when it's just a pursuit and the suspect goes close to a crowded street or a school zone the police back off or even call off the pursuit, cant say it's a protocol everywhere but its definitely common sense.
no protocols, no negotiations, no procedures, wild wild wild west shoot out. in the middle of rush hours, even a driver near the shooting got killed by a stray bullet.
@C J they're made up of "peers" who hold cops to a much much lower standard and most of the time cops dont get convicted by a jury almost every time they go in front of a judge to argue their case and are almost always let off
Civilians is a word occupying armies used for non military locals. It's creepy to use it to describe non-police. Really says it all about their mentality
The cops will say its for public safety and officers safety but in reality had the cops backed off and caught the suspects later. Frank would be safer with the suspects than the end result.
@@juiceybananas5489 True !! And They can't use the "it was to protect innocent ppl" line because They killed 2 innocent ppl...That was Negligence at its best.
Why didnt the police stop the chase and let the suspects drive off knowing their was a hostage with them? They easily could have tracked them down later and caught them without endangering the hostage.
Desertwanderer I disagree. The fact that multiple departments shows that there is a deep flaw in their communication and training. They should definitely be put under review because the call to continue pursuit was made by someone higher up the chain of command. They should go through retraining. You still can’t ignore the fact that these are people too. And they were actively being shot at. There is a flaw in the training for these situations that need to be addressed down there.
