These two had an amazing chemistry beyond measure and should have been awarded for their acting, they should have been in BVS or Justice League. Jessi Eisenberg is the worst Luthor ever. Clark is the son Lionel wished he had
There’s something special about this scene. Lionel is usually sarcastic and talks in a jokingly way in every other scene, but this scene alone - he is very serious.
Yep sad his redemption Lionel's was a little late maybe a season or two sooner then Lex maybe had a chance but here he was already well on his way to the dark side
I've been saying this on like, every Lionel Luthor video: I can't help it. I love Lionel. I love complex characters! He actually reminds me a little bit of Severus Snape from Harry Potter, in terms of complexity and not knowing what his motives are all the time
Everybody is like: Lionel is the greatest... For what? For being a horrible father to lex? Right now lex is just the younger version of Lionel... Lex became what his father wanted him to become, and now Lionel is playng the uno reverse card. Calrk was a better persone because hè had a better father, hè was loved all his childhood... Lionel neglected Lex and now has a problem with how hè turned out...
Lex was pretty much doomed from the moment he was born. Lionel's manipulative and evil ways was the majority reason for Lex eventually turning evil. For Clark, he had to keep his secret because well Lex is a Luthor. Clark was understandably right for keeping his secret. Lana was manipulated by Lex who was taking advantage of her due to the Clark and Lana relationship falling out. So in conclusion, Lex was damaged as a result of the trauma he witnessed as a child seeing what his father did to his mother. And also the way he was treated in general by Lionel.
Wow... I think this is the only time in 7 years that John Glover didn't have a beard, rather just 5 o'clock shadow lol. Great scene... these two made the show!
Wait a minute that voice I recognized that voice it's the flash from the Justice League and the other actor that I know Lex Luthor father was actually the Riddler
Haha nah that’s too emotional for Lionel. Lionel believes emotions are synonymous with vulnerability. Poor Lex on the other hand is an emotional basket case at times
@@mammaboy1 That's still more BS from Lex and him blaming his father. Lionel was definitely not the husband or father he should have been, but he did not go to same lengths Lex did. Especially not with his wife.
When Lionel realized it was his duty to protect Clark, I just became so fascinated by him. And the way he just spat in Lex's face like that! GO LIONEL!
+Ameen Ahmed You took the words right out of my mouth. I was fascinated by him before anyway, but when he started redeeming himself and going down that path...still manipulative and a great liar, but for the right reasons, it struck a new cord with me, and he quickly became a favorite of mine.
@Mike John Oh man... Lionel Luthor's character development was amazing. For some reason, Jor-El knew that Lionel was worth redemption and being given a chance to do what was right. And Lionel accepted that responsibility without blinking, no matter how much Clark may have resisted. I never watch Lionel's death scene. Therefore, he never dies. I don't watch it, so it never happened. That's my logic and I'm sticking to it lol
i loved those father/son moments in smallville!! clark and jonathan, lex and lionel; They show how they were completely opposite, one full of love and caring, the other bitter and full of resentment!! great characters and wrighting!!
They used Gotham as a City and a City name a couple of times on the show. One of Oliver's friends lived in Gotham. smallville.fandom.com/wiki/Gotham_City
