Dads who take their kids fishing are the best! I'm happy to have had a father who fished and took us kids along with him. I'm sure you guys are also super happy that your father passed along this great sport as well. I first fell in love with fishing at Houghton Lake in Michigan trolling for walleye, pike, and rock bass. After that, I snuck into any water hole I could find.
Great show fellas! I have so many memories of my dad taking me fishing they were all positive and so much fun! I’ve passed it on to my son. Hoping and praying he does the same.
Hard for me to decide between two moments. When I was 21 my dad put me on my biggest muskie 54.5"x24". And then 2 years ago when I got my first real boat I had a perfect storm front coming in, called him to bring one rod and one lure as we would have 20 minutes to fish before the rain. Not 10 minutes in he caught a 40 incher and I called the cast saying "I raised one high 30s-low 40s right there". And we got in the truck before the rain hit 😂
One of my favorites was I had a follow and the next cast my dad caught it at boatside 41 incher. I had to hold it for the picture because he said it was too big for him 😂. Or else the second most memorable moment, we were jigging minnows for walleyes in deep water with tall weeds, my dad snagged a huge 8 foot weed and behind it was the largest fish I’ve ever seen. It just swam under the boat and swam back down the other side.
