Let me ask you this, I have the normal closed comb gentile and simply love it, so smooth and easy despite having to fiddle with the top cap to get even exposure on both sides. Do you feel any difference between the closed comb versions, the slant vs non-slant? The same smoothness but more effective maybe? Or not? It’s clear now the open comb is more aggressive but what about those two closed comb variations? I’m about to pull the trigger on my first slant, trying to decide on open vs closed. Of course if both closed combs were to be very similar, perhaps I’d go with the open slant since I already have the standard gentile. Or maybe I’d get both! 😂 😂 Thanks again and keep it up! I think you will get both, 🤔😂🤔😂 The closed ones are very similar but the slant fells a tiny bit smoother and more efficient. Hope you enjoy them when you get them as much as i do. Thanks for watching and good shaves to you sir.
The FOCS is the more efficient of the lot and also the closest shaver, yet very smooth. It’s not a gentile, but close. I found some blades not fitting my FOCS, pins are to fat. regards dapper shaves

great video, I found the FOCS to be fantastic. very efficient yet still smooth even with feathers. mine does not accept all blades, some domt fit, regards dapper shaves
Would you say that the closed comb Fatip is still more efficient than a straight-bar razor with a closed comb? I'm using an R89 at the moment, and I just don't feel that the straight bar is efficient enough for me. I want the benefit of a slanted bar, but I prefer razors with a closed comb because I have soft skin and find open combs too aggressive.
I think it is but i would advise you to get a adjustable, that way you can get a fine tuning on it. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and good shaves to you.
