Some faults can be a simple 123 process and some not so easy Lets look at a fault that has a more complex software routine that runs to log it. Who would of thought this goes on once you shut that engine off.
👍👍. . I don't have any experience with after treatment diagnosing and repair,as it all come about after my time in vocational school ..but the boss purchased a new komatsu excavator a couple years ago, with a qsb6.7. ..I don't have to repair anything, yet,as it's under warranty, but I'll have to in time...the nice thing about komatsu,is by pushing buttons, simultaneously,on the monitor,a person can view/ highlight all electronic controlled components...this and your other videos will definitely be beneficial for anyone trying to diagnose/ repair... thanks for everything you do 👍👍👊
I have x15 sometimes on a passive regen driving I get lots smoke pouring out of stack and if I come to a stop it smoking down by the def system. This only happens like every 3 or 4 regen. During normal operations no smoke at all
If smoke comes out under your truck (from the exhaust ) there is a leaky joint or failed pipe or gasket. It is a good Idea to fix that when you can. If the flex down pipe leaks it will cause your ecm to calculate the incorrect amount of fuel to send to the aftertreatment to heat it up. It is not a big deal but it wastes a small amount of fuel but the fumes could be getting into the cab that is a big deal.
