Thanks for your considered review of the Fauré “touch” alligator bags. Totally agree that coated canvas + exotic skin = tasteless. Plus the rip-off prices are extraordinary.
I think that your general assessment of the value for price on these bags seems accurate. It was interesting to hear more about FLP since I've had minimal exposure to the brand overall. I would consider a canvas bag but might prefer the aesthetics of Moreau canvas when it comes down to it. Thank you, Anesu ✨

Faure Le Page only makes alligator bags now?!😳 In the past they had a big variety of exotic leathers.. since beginning of pandemic a lot has changed in terms of design as well🙁 They used to make original Parade bag fully in exotic leather, when it was already discontinued & replaced by Parade soft. I’m a little sad seeing what is happening to the brand😔
They do provide cites with the bag so you can travel with it mainly for the US into the UK you don’t need a cites in your personal luggage. Unfortunately those are the rules even if it’s a small amount of alligator.
Moynat is next to Goyard on Rue Saint Honoré as it was opened to rival Goyard. When it first opened it certainly did especially when it came to the quality of its products.
I don't think 1019 euro for a canvas bag, lined in textile with leather touches is a " steal". It's a nice bag but not worth more than 350 euro. Sorry.
