Wow! That hardware looks amazing now. It looks like it really leaked once. Very creative and cost effective. It's been a wonderful journey getting to see all the transformations. Keep up the good work! Shalom Mishpocah.
I wanted to “disappear” a couple of big dark ceiling fans that looked like big black spiders on the ceiling so I painted the blades white and applied gold leaf Rub N Buff to the metal parts and they turned out beautiful! They almost have an antique Italian look to them now. I’ve used dozens of tubes of it over the years and it is the best and most authentic application you can find. What you did to this sink and the pipes is genius! 👍👍
Isn't that metallic reactive paint fun? Hubby and I both agree with the one child of yours who thinks you should leave the old sink uncoated. It just screams "Old World" as is. You guys are doing a phenomenal job on your house. Are you going to remove the siding on the outside and put faux timbers on it?
Hi Joel, how thoughtful and beautiful to share your gifts and talents in your beautiful home and doing the HONEY DO LIST FOR YOUR WIFE. Hi to all of the babies. GOD BLESS
Nice job Angela. If you look at the pipes you just did next to the bottom of that lovely sink, it really blends well. You and Joel…. the dynamic duo! 🙏🏻💜😉
I so ENJOY watching you on here and Wow!!! That is amazing what you have done...I’ve been needing to paint the top of my bath tub faucet, now I know what to do...I have spray paint but was going to have to tape and cover...well doing the rub and buff will be so much easier...we ended up almost a year ago putting in a stand up shower in our main bathroom...it used to be our claw foot tub/shower in one...my hubby took the shower unit part off and just capped off the top of the faucet so we didn’t have to buy a new one...it worked THANK GOODNESS...Now I just need to get some rub and buff...THANKS SO MUCH for showing us this great idea!!! Oh by the way I LOVE your sink...ITS AMAZING!!! 😊
I love the sink and the bead board. The pipes look convincing too but the poo pipe is a little much. Maybe a faux beam covering it. I love rub and buff. It's such great stuff. I'll have to check into the verdigris. I wonder if it would work on clay pots.
Post Script to my comment: Rub N Buff is my jam! European and Antique Gold are my go-tos. Just ordered the Spanish Copper from Amazon. Purchased a patina kit too. Thank you to Angela yet again for neverending inspiration.💋
Ok video aside!! Has anyone noticed the new cover for the upcoming OWDS magazine? Stunning!!! Angela, you look fantastic...such a beautiful, regal, romantic photograph. That dress/color on you is absolute perfection❤
Can I just tell you , I follow a few different home decor sites and I always come back to you and your style for my home , I have tried other styles but for some reason old world french, with time worn pieces is what I’m drawn too for my home !!! Thank you so much for your style and the inspiration I get from your videos it’s truly a style that actually looks lived in and not a please don’t touch kind of show room space :)
Everything looks fantastic Angela. Wonderful job 👏🏻. I love the piece of what looks like a tree trunk cut in half, that’s on the ceiling 👍🏻❤️. Have a great day today 😊.
Ahhhhh! Angela 😍 The pvc piping under the sink looks excellent! I'm going to use this idea. I just purchased an old building in my downtown, and used your "faux brick" idea. My darling, these are fabulous ideas to make an old thing look great again on a budget 👍 The old wood used for wainscoating looks great too! - Eric in IL
I had my doubts about you being able to pull this off but you came through with flying colors! I’m shopping today. For the supplies and copying. Well done you.❤️
I love the repurposed wood for the wainscoting! I didn't have old so I bought T-11 and white washed it (my builder thought I was crazy as i put it on the ceiling for a beach house look) because of its rough texture it takes the paint great and its light weight
I did the same thing but used spray paint -- it worked beautifully. I used one that mimicked rust. Then did touches of bronze acrylic paint. It was very easy.
Hi Angela, Your son has grown a foot taller and wider in his shoulders; keep feeding the family that fabulous, farm fresh food! Thanks for sharing, Julie 🌷 PS Your sink is fabulous!!
I’m so happy for you, to finally have your boot room in order.. I’m a big rub n buff user, myself and will now be venturing into ageing said pieces further with the verdigris technique . ♥️ Epic job my dear. 👏🏻👏🏻
Wow! The outcome is surprising. I had no idea that could be done. I was impressed with the old copper look. When you added the green I couldn't believe my eyes. Well done, and thank you for giving me a video to bring my focus back to home and beauty and creativity. A respite from the news going on in the world. A much needed break. Your videos are like a refuge for my creative heart to enjoy a few beats in peace. Thank you.
WOW!!! Angela!!! I LOVE this!!! 💖💖💖💖💖 It looks so authentic! You guys did such a amazing job!!! 👏. I can't wait to see the rest of the makeover ☺️☺️☺️🥚🥚🥚🚿🧽🧺
Angela, I learn so much from you! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I love how the pipes turned out. Everything is just beautiful. Live the dream my friend
I think the Rub n Buff is a great idea...but l have to say the verdigris is not doing it for me. It doesn't look authentic. I don't know what it is exactly, but neither the upper wall pipe or the under sink were improved by adding that step. I think you can distress it some with other colors....but not that spray activator. Sorry to be a nay sayer...but it needs more research.🤔(but l love the idea of matching it to the faucet)
What a great job! I am so impressed with the look that can be achieved with a little time and effort. The wainscoting is such a gem. Thank you for such good content.
That looks so good!!! I love it. You are so creative and inspiring. I love your attention to detail, makes everything you do look fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing!
Good morning Angela, as usual your artistic abilities make the mundane beautiful! I can’t wait for your Spring issue! As an aside, do you Kylie Flavelle’s channel? She is a former Nat Geo photographer and currently she is renovating an ancient house in Tuscany. You would love it. ALL the Old World vibes. 😍
Love the chippy panelling! Love the faux finish plumbing! The coat hooks look great. I'd finish off with an L-shaped shelf, with rounded outer corners, on top, supported by beautifully curved (Swedish) wooden brackets. I'd also bild an L-shaped bench below, with rounded corners, to fit shoes underneath. And I'd probably want to help the plain wall along, by adding some vertical battens, and painting it all in that same yummy creamy colour. * I'd leave the sink as is, but I'm sure you've got some cool plans for it. 😊
