you know what is absolutely unhinged, the fact that trixie knows about almost anything and any story katya has to tell, but they found out today that their brothers have the same name
They both: -Have older brothers named Dan who are straight - are named brian - are gay - are drag queens - on the same season of rupauls drag race - are best friends Like what are the odds
@@rhonaldneitzel2410 I don't know, are they both naturally blond? I can't even tell since they're both bald. Or are you talking about their drag hair color preference?
I will never get tired of these LONG TERM FRIENDS still discovering basic shit about each other’s lives. They’re besties who reallllly don’t hang out and I live.
@@jailersaccess I mean I’ve seen people talking about it in comments of their videos before this 😂 I feel like they probably had talked about it but like, forgot lmao they retell a ton of stories all the time so
Well, to be fair, they are, also coworkers. So they probably don't get deep into family and personal information because they're too busy talking about work, what to do next, maybe this song should go here, oh yes that dress looks great on you, etc, etc...
Trixie and Katya are both gay, both do drag, both named Brian, both have straight older brothers named Dan, both went on RPDR, and they’re both absolutely nuts, AND a they both have insane laughs? Come on platonic soulmates
1) Katya forgot that she outed the guy's name in an Unhhhh episode 2) France Gall originally did the song in 1964 3) Duolingo should sponsor Katya so that she can finally finish the car story
I go through these depressive stages throughout my day to day life and it gets to a point where nothing satisfies me or makes me happy or keeps my interests peeked and trixie content has been the only thing giving me even the smallest amount of sanity to cope for a while. Thank you for making content you have no idea how much u impact some people’s life like mine. I’ve been on suicide watch for a year now and recently have been givin a little privacy and leeway when I’m on RU-vid watching anything with trixie, Katya, Brit, and Sarah. So again thank you guys from the bottom of my heart you’re literally keeping me alive. I love you guys.
Bless these queens and the joy they bring to so many of us. I know you will get through this, your life matters, your impact matters and you are loved more than you know! Sending you love, strength, and healing at this time. Let your light shine sweetheart!💜💜💜
I just want to repeat the thoughts and sentiments of the posters above. I have also gone through an experience of persistent severe clinical depression so I can literally 100% feel deeply in my bones the level of empathy and recognition I wish I didn’t have to bear like so many of us but at the same time makes me feel such gratitude that I was able to somehow get through and find the right treatment and therapeutic, life approach, counseling and admittedly begrudgingly sobriety (the only thing that I longingly sigh and daydream after is a traditional authentic margarita on the rocks with salt- I am from Texas and my family has a home in Mexico so that shouldn’t be a gigantic surprise to anyone lolololol) and I can only hope that those who are in the depths of that experience (like the first person above) or who are still having to fight aspects of it since it’s not exactly *not* an ongoing struggle and intentionally treated/managed condition, can find the healthy and effective ways in which to cope each and every day, and I for one can absolutely agree that often times for me too it’s the (what they would humbly think) “little” things like a Katya and Trixie podcast or UNHhhh or whatever else that’s *the only* thing that is able to keep you going at times 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Trixie: "...You get two cameras, you get my living room and you get what you get." Katya: "You get what you get, and we'll give what we give and at the end of the day it is what it is." this is already my favorite part of the video
In Switzerland we have pink prison cuz some doctors said it would make the prisoner in a better mood 😂 i find it kind of funny that our prisons are basically trixie’s living room
@@jaydock1 no for real! Cause we LOVE the editing of unhhhh but sometimes I’m sad when their random tangents get cut off cause I’m over here wanting to hear what else they had to say 😂 I would pay for just unedited footage of them talking about whatever they want no matter what it’s entertaining
as someone named georgia... that “please subscribe to us” segment made me jump out of my fucking skin.... 100% bone chilling felt like i was being watched
Ok so lemme get this straight: we have two bald men, both gay, both drag queens, both named Brian, AND they both have an older straight brother named Dan??? LMAO
Re skimpy clothes, Tim Gunn said: "If you have to ask if a clothing item is a dress or a top, it is always a top.” I live by this and it has served me well.
To answer the ABBA question, not only were they HUGE in Australia in the 70s and early 80s but ABBA themselves adopted Australia as their second home, they loved touring in Australia so much they became part of Australian culture. If you can get yourselves a copy of ABBA: The Movie (1977) I highly recommend, it's camp as tinsel in June.
My boyfriend's mom was from Italy and she insisted on both her sons speaking to her in Italian. They're both over 30 and still speak to her in Italian, yet they talk to each other in english which I think is interesting. But 100% teaching your child to be bilingual or multilingual is such a gift. It can even open up job opportunities. My boyfriend has been a translator for Italians who come to NYC and need one. My dad used to speak to me in Spanish until I was around 3 and then he stopped and while i understand some amount of Spanish, I can't speak it and can just barely get the gist of what people are saying. I'm still mad about it lol
Wendy Williams audience actually gasped at her saying "death to all of them," someone even said "too far!" and she received some backlash. She's basically "uncancellable" at this point, she's had so many controversies. Wasn't that long ago she said men shouldn't be trying to act like women essentially and received a lot of backlash. It gets her views, it keeps working.
@@blakehawkes9597 If you saw someone out of drag and you don’t know them personally as their out of drag persona, I would not suggest it. If they introduced themselves as an alternative name, then I would go for it. I say this because, as mentioned, the boundary was established by them already. We know them as one thing and not the other.
@@blakehawkes9597 yeah I would think it’s best to still use Trixie cause I mean, they refer to themselves as Trixie and katya in this podcast despite being out of drag. And there was that one ep of unhhh where Trixie said katya is the only one she refers to as katya in drag but boy names out of drag, so I assume even with other drag queens she uses Trixie out of drag.
I love that a podcast that was meant to be about beauty and people's relationship to beauty spent the entire episode jumping around talking about corporal punishment, the prison system, weed, french songs... The sheer chaos. I am here for it.
Trixie and Katya were no casualty or coincidence! It was faith and destiny! How coincidental that they’re both named Brian and also that both of them have an older straight brother named Dan…God was feeling it the day she said “hi” and plotted all of this
Cheyenne Jackson was just on the Bianca Del Rio Podcast and talked about how he is getting hate for his new role. He plays straight on 'Call me Kat'. He or Bianca didn't like it because he is an actor with range which INCLUDES acting like a straight man. People are silly, He can act in any role he wants plus, he is gorgeous and YES totally believable that Mayim Bialick would have the hots for him.
Katya gives me mega hope when she speaks about the drug stuff coz I'm 32, and she's more than ten years older and is like sober I think (weed or alcohol doesn't count, im Scottish ) and is having fun, is LIVING, HONEY! Like I'm not gay, but I'm a trans man and i want in on their vibe so much.
every time they (especially trixie) make fun of katya's break i just lost it because a) it's funny. it was sad but now it's hilarious, i'm so sorry katya b) they're wayyy past it. it's all in the past and they can make fun of it now. that's amazing
So glad they briefly touched on the topic of straight actors playing gay/LGBTQ+ roles (and vice-versa). It's a tricky situation, because ideally, yeah I want more queer people on my screen and more authentic representation, but at the same time, I also completely agree with what Katya was saying, in that straight actors should still be able to play LGBTQ+ roles AS LONG AS homophobia/transphobia isn't the reason why gay actors weren't chosen to play that same role. So if a straight actor was chosen, it should be because they were the best candidate for the role and fit the best within the overall story, as opposed to them being the best person solely because they're not actually queer and could potentially bolster marketing + PR. But I do understand how serious of an issue it is within the industry. I think what's hard is that some of my favourite gay movies have had straight actors play some of the roles, and for me, it didn't take anything away from the overall story because they portrayed the characters (to me) authentically within the confines of the script, etc, and not once did I think "hmm if a gay person and been involved in this kissing scene, they would have done it better because they're actually gay". I'm just getting tired of some members of the community be outright dismissive and sometimes hateful towards actors that land a gay/LGBTQ+ role without knowing how they got that role or the entire situation (I've seen the two young Love Victor main actors get this). Especially when they do the role justice and we still get queer representation through the story.
The thing is that for the audience it might not be that important because there is representation in the story, but for the actors it matters. LGBTQ+ actors don't get straight roles after coming out because they're not as "marketable". But when there are finally more queer roles, they don't get them either - because they're not a household name. So they still hardly get any roles. It's similar to whitewashing roles. People of color usually don't get the main character roles. And when there's a, say, female asian character, she's played by a white woman in a black wig. Also, if there are no LGBTQ+ people involved in the writing, directing or acting, it's probably going to be a stereotypical portrayal. With disabilities as well. Ideally, the best person for a role could be queer, of color, fat, disabled and still get the role just based on their acting. But unfortunately, we're not there yet.
@@jasmint3207 Look at the Kim’s Convenience writing room and the complaints the actors had there. Extremely little representation in the room, yet not willing to hear from the actors who were Korean Canadians with lived experience. All based off of a 2011 play by Ins Choi. I know it’s not exactly what’s being spoken about but, it’s the same field.
The tricky part is that we can pretty readily say that homophobia/transphobia plays a part in a gay/trans person not getting a role in almost every situation because of how rampant and systemic they are
Trixie and Katya singing Laissez tomber les filles simultaneously, and then each saying it's from a different artist/band is so on brand! Also : France Gall would be fantastic!
"I need actors to play everyone." Exactly. I don't want just trans actors in trans roles. I don't want just cis actors in cis roles. I need trans actors in cis roles. I need cis actors in trans roles. It's idealistic of me to say so, but true /gender/ representation will not exist until everyone plays everyone. edit: a word second edit: I realize that this is an idealistic perspective, and it is not lost on me that /before/ we have true gender representation, there needs to be an equal playing field for all actors. I know that queer actors are disproportionately underrepresented, and they need to shine and they need to be given the same opportunities as their cis contemporaries. Thought I’d clarify.
I used to listen to Ricky Gervais' podcast with Steven Merchant and I would howl at things that came out of their mouths. Trixie and Katya's podcast is the new replacement. I love this duo and they make me laugh all the time, especially during hard times. Thanks, Ladies!
Trixie hit the nail on the head when she started talking about how depending on your brain you don’t wanna be locked up in your head for long periods of time. Like she is so right about that. Do you know how many times I’ve had to explain to mental health specialist that meditation is not for the mentally unstable.
Y'all saying you didn't deliver on what was "expected" bc of the trailer. I DONT GIVE A FUCK THIS IS LITERALLY PERFECTTTT. I would not have it any other way, neither would 99% of the other fans.
Do they realise that their version of low key production is everything we need and more? I’m pretty sure even negative key would be keep us wildly entertained ❤️🙏
i watched a clip of trixie saying leslie johnson died, then saw a clip of her complaining about the comments and now i’m here and about to binge the whole podcast. they’re both so funny i’m ready to get into this world!!!
For example when Katya said she refuses to hold babies. She started saying what she would say to the parents: "I say to them..." but we never got to hear it!
I'm glad Trixie and Katya had fun with Sarah's episode. The audience response was not what I hoped but if they had a good time that makes me feel better
Also the fact that they didn’t address anything that the comment section was talking about makes me think that they don’t read the comment section and I love that lmao
The episode was so boring though 😭 maybe if she is ever asked back they could talk about stuff she knows more about. It would be interesting to hear about her experience with ADHD. Idk if she just isn't good at interviews/discussions in general or if it was just topics she couldn't elaborate on.
