The braids at the first part were so cuuuuute! I might do that much to my hair and stop because I really loved being able to see the colors of the hair weaving in and out of the plats.

I absolutely LOVE the suggestion of knitting the hair at the root and the ends to secure it! I’m definitely trying that technique.

So pretty. next time, right after you dip them in the hot water, dip them into cold water. that will immediately set the shape and cool them down. Then you can unravel and let them air dry :-)

love both looks especially if you dont have time. you can rock the box braids for a couple days and then proceed with the loc install.

A good way to save time is only braid past your hair especially since you don’t mind being able to see the inside a little. That’s what I always do when I do faux locs. I got real locs now 🙃

That looks so great, how long does it last? And how much would a look like this cost to get all the components? Im guessing that doing it this way it still protects your natural hair and doesnt put too much pressure on your roots?
