Another brow tip for a wiser face ( I don’t say aging or old, I am wiser!) is instead of the tail of the brow going down, thin it a bit so it goes out towards your temple, ear. It will give the wiser face an appearance of lifting. Love your videos! Thank you!

So I took out my phone and started looking at makeup videos. And I your channel and never looked back. I’m now 58 and have learned so much from you! Oh my goodness yes to the eyebrow convo. I have to pluck mine underneath in the front all the time. Even at 65 my brows grow like crazy. Always have to trim and pluck to keep them up. Plus I love the stories about Rhett. He just is the sweetest old soul with his love of lawnmowers. He is so creative what a little cutie.
I still remember watching a video of yours probably 15 years ago where you talked about your mom advising not to tweeze brow hairs on top and damage the hair follicle because we will need those hairs as we get older. ❤
So nice to see lots of Drugstore in the video Emily. I think with the Sephora sale and so many Beauty channels doing vids. related to the sale, many viewers have reached an overload. Not to mention that a lot of Sephora's products are becoming increasingly out of reach for people, with consistently increasing prices for literally everything. Thank you for including both kinds of products in this outing Emily 💖😊 / Also I'm in Canada and generally when we get any product over $20.00 at Sephora it's on average at least $10 - $15 dollars more. So for example with the smaller of the new Sephora Favorites kits - it's $30.00 U S, whereas we pay $48.00 Canadian ( with a 15%tax on top of that ) our MINI Kosas Cloud Set is $24.00 to the U.S $13.00 , so it really really adds up....
I’m in Australia and I just priced an elf primer and it is AUD$24! The high end stuff is usually well over $100 for most make up now. The Korean cosmetics are looking more attractive, but I’m not sure of how ethically they are produced. Even drug store products (which are sold at Chemist stores here) are becoming increasingly out of reach. We do have Sephora here now, but it’s in Melbourne and I live over 300ks away. It’s a problem. But let’s face it, it’s not life or death.
Ikr I am way too broke for high-end products and even mid-price products. Especially in other countries with outrageous shipping rates, always nice to see a mix of drugstore stuff in people's favorites :)

I totally agree with you about the eyebrows. And without sounding rude, what few eyebrows you removed has actually made your eyes look brighter. In fact your whole face seems lighter. It’s amazing what good eye brows can do for your face. Mine were destroyed by a friend who plucked them for me when thin brows were trendy in the 70’s and they never really grew back. I filled them in with pencil or eyeshadow for years, but filled them in the same way. It was only about eight years ago, when I turned 60, that I really drew in a thicker shape I loved. I found a taupe colour twist up pencil with a spooly on the end and my whole face changed. People thought I had ‘something done’ because I was told I looked younger or I was asked if I had been on a holiday. 😊
I stopped watching "beauty influencers" a long time ago except you Emily. You are always so informative and thorough. It's like getting makeup recommendations from a friend.
On your comment about the eyeshadow palettes at Sephora these days: I love a neutral look as much as the next person, but man I am SO BORED of only matte neutrals and barely-there makeup (specifically on the eyes). I don’t often have the time/energy for a full, crazy eye look, but I miss glitz and glamour on the eyes. And fun colours and graphic liner! Anyways, rant over. Loved the video as always Em!
Hi Em! Long time viewer here. Would love to see more looks with just 2-3 colors on the eyes. I have very small eyes and not alot of time! So not alot of room to blend multiple shades but still want to look like I made an effort to create a look and didn't slap on a shade. ❤️
Loved the brow discussion! My brows are similar to yours, Emily, but I'm about 20 years older. I've always highlighted under the brow to give it a lift. I find now mine are also thinning a little. I never followed the thin trend of decades past, always wore mine pretty full and was blessed with high arches. It's amazing how tweezing even one stray hair can make a big difference!
One season when my daughter played soccer, she would have been 5 or 6, the team wanted their name to be “the grass pickers” 😂. Those who weren’t in liked to do handstands and pull grass. That name was vetoed by the coach, but years later it still makes me laugh!

I use a flat lip brush (Sigma) to carve out the underneath the brow area with Nars soft matte concealer in a very light shade. It definitely brightens and lifts! I'm 57 so I need to lift wherever I can! 😂😂

I came here to mention three highlights of this particular video that gave me a good chuckle before the video was over but then I had a fourth towards the end! LOL 1 - your mom agreeing with you about the face relaxing and needing more of a lift. Amen and totally agree! 2 - RBF with age. Is the RBF just more so "B-ing" these days because of gravity? I tell my husband it's because I am German and we just have a natural RBF. I am approachable, I swear! LOL 3 - the comment about Bubba and his zero turn made out of a step stool and a few sticks. LOL that really made me chuckle and is so smart! 4 - the wind and the lip gloss! I was wearing a Tarte Marcajua Juicy lip the other day and had the same issue (Waterloo, IL so not too far away from you) and my hair kept blowing into my lip. I was worried I was going to have gloss streaks across my face!
First of all Em, I LIVE for your long videos! I get ready every single morning playing one of your videos. Also, I was talking to my friend about you and our mutual dislike of Spring. If it didn't have the crazy weather, I'd be fine with it. I live in Seattle area, so it's rare that thunderstorms happen and we don't get tornados. However, we get random wind storms where it knocks out a ton of power throughout the west coast of Washington, debris gets thrown all over the roads, and my best way to describe it is the weather is drunk lol. It'll be crazy windy, sunny, oh there's some hail, is that snow, who knows. Spring good lord hahaha

I need to try that Rimmel foundation. I didn’t need foundation until a year or so ago. But now I have redness and some melasma. I’ve been using the Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Skin Tint. It’s not bad.

That wet n wild lipstick seems like exactly what I need. 😍 I’ve also looked at that Rimmel foundation many times but I’ve always thought it would be too dry for my normal to dry skin type. Hearing you speak so highly of it when we have similar skin types makes me want to try it asap. I need something long lasting for work.

Thank you for recommending the elf duo brush. I could only use a sponge when blending out concealer under my eyes and both ends of the brush are fabulous for doing that job!

I use a face razor to cleanup the area right above my brows, mostly just getting any peach fuzz and it really makes a difference. Brows look sharp and more defined.
