Keeter Center is exceptional in all areas. Quality, freshness, unique dishes and service levels. There is nothing even close and this doesn't even consider that your dollars go to hard working students' education. Keeter Center top of the list BY FAR.
Great stuff. May I add Pizza by the Chef in Branson West and Kimberling City and also The Filling Station in Lampe for BBQ. Wonderful family owned places.
I would NOT include Long Horn Steakhouse....thats a national chain and if you been in 1 you have been in all of them.....thats like putting a Golden Corral in there.....
You are very welcome. Don't forget Lamberts in Ozark, MO. It is one of our all-time favorites. We have a short video showing it. Food is incredible, and portions are HUGE.
You could have stopped and only shown the Keeter Center, that is the best place to eat in Branson and the prices are reasonable. Food quality, locally produced, is second to none and prices are what you expect. You pretty much have to have a reservation to get in but it's the best place in Branson. During our last visit, we had 15 minutes before our reservation and I went into the building just to your right as you check in. They had a military display in the entire room, pretty big room, that showed all the former students and their military service, including one former student who in WWII had won a silver star, 2 bronze stars, 2 purple hearts and the Congressional Medal of Honor. It was a great and moving display of sacrifice.
I loved hearing about the hand rubbed meats at Big D's BBQ. Honestly I was surprised at the quality of all the BBQ places near Branson. Good stuff and girthy portions.
I tried Noodle 21 just this Nov and it proved to be delicious. If you like Asian food you will love this place. It’s an Asian Fusion restaurant. My favorites were the Korean Bibimbap and the Thai Drunken Noodles. I would have probably liked many more menu offerings, but wasn’t in Branson long enough. A fast food place that I tried, that we don’t have in my home state, that was good was Culver’s. Their veggie burger was yummy. I tried it twice.
We are headed to Branson at the end of June. I’ve been going to Branson on and off for about 40+ years. Been to some but many here never been to. There will be 9 of us so some of these restaurants might be a challenge for us.
Hungry Hunter was just OK. Mediocre hash browns, mediocre biscuits, but a good omelette. Grand Buffet biscuits are far superior as was everything else we had 2/7/24-2/10/24.
I'm going to suggest some of these restaurants to my friends, we try to get together once a month and try different things. We were all class mates from a small school near by. We all live around Harrison, AR now, so Branson is not that far to go to eat.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel hi, we went the Downing Street Pour House today for lunch and it was really good. Three of us got the Chef's special for today which was a great salmon salad with all kinds of fruits and nuts in it all on a bed of mixed greens. The forth person got the smoked chicken dinner. We are now planning on going to other places off the beaten path. Thanks for all the suggestions.
i feel like these places if their not filled up to the brim with ppl waiting... the food will be good... but is its jammed pack... its not gonna be as good... afterall the branson area is famous for families...
I confess, our family has been to the Longhorn. It's more like a relaxing, big meal, "we're on vacation" celebration. Besides, I rather not drive if I don't have to. Though, the walk across the street from the hotel is perilous. Subbed. Hope you make it to 1k.
Been years since I've been to Branson, never eat at these places. Years ago we eat at the Farmhouse a lot and the old Wayne's restaurant by 76 Mall . 76 Mall was my favorite store to visit as a child . There were Two steak houses , One on each end of the strip that were delicious. I wish I remembered the name.
76 Music Hall is now called Grand Country and their restaurant is buffet style, mostly. We just ate at Farmhouse Saturday for breakfast and it's still as good as always. I'm not familiar with either of the steakhouses or Old Wayne's. There was an Old Matt's in that area many years ago.
@@HaveFunLetsTravel The Wayne's Restaurant appeared briefly in some 1987 footage I just watched. It was a small restaurant I guess just East of 76 Mall . There were some carnival rides between the Two. Wayne's had good food, and the best Walnut pie you ever sunk a tooth in ! Now I think there's a difference between 76 music hall and the old 76 Mall ?
True, but do you ever get tired of cooking and want to go out to eat? We do, and we get tired of chain restaurants. And when we travel, we like to know where the locals go to eat.
Thanks for the info….we’re in Branson a few times a year. Seems like we find ourselves at the same ole places……What is the name of the restaurant that throws roll like Lambert’s?
As a 31-year resident, I can tell you that our family goes out to eat all the time. Each and every time we go to one of these, we see lots of locals eating there too. Thanks for your input.
Not impressed with Billy Gail's, while hashbrowns were crispy on edges, had puddle of grease underneath. Biscuit and gravy barely warm. Didn't like that put bacon under the gravy, made it soft.
I don't know who the locals were that you surveyed but all the places on your list is all the places the locals DON'T go to. Not giving away our secret favorite places.
It was through a couple Facebook groups for Branson locals as well as a huge email list of locals. We sent out thousands and had over 1,500 replies. We asked what their favorite local, not chain, restaurants were and left it to them to fill in the blank. We didn't offer multiple choice answers. After getting their replies, we calculated their answers to come up with this list. I'm know there are lots of other local favorites that should make the list too.
