I was sure this was going to be the scene where he says "Bill have you ever heard the expression that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?" And Bill replies "Dave, have you ever considered that only a hillbilly would think of ways to catch flies?"
Mine also. Such a great show that never gets talked about. Every time I watch through it I laugh just as much as I ever did. And Phil Hartman was a national treasure, one of the best of all time
No amount of lemonade will ever make up for what you are on the inside. When life gives you pure, crisp refreshing water, you let it pass through your disgusting human body to turn it into vile, ammoniated urine. Let this sink in: Everything that goes into your body becomes repugnant because of it. What does that say about what you are made of internally? It isn't what's on the surface that counts but what's inside and you are full of poo.
Was rewatching old Futurama. Billy West is just doing a Phil Hartman’s impression for Brannigan’s voice. Barely any change. Touching. RIP Phil Hartman.
My fave scene was when Bill and Dave were giving up smoking/coffee and they were torturing each other and I think it was Andys character that came up and Bill about bit his head off lol
My only frame of reference for Phil Hartman is that Zapp Brannigan in Futurama was written with him in mind. And when I see these clips, god did they nail that writing. The writers and Billy West perfectly captured the spirit of his style of performing.
i liked the episode where dave has to quit coffee to support bill quitting smoking and bill antagonizes dave by drinking coffee in front of him and they both blow up on matthew fucking great shit
My favorite Bill McNeal scene is when Matthew asks Bill what makes him tick, and Bill hurriedly responds "Forces of good and evil, constantly at war with my soul, et cetera, et cetera, but that's not important right now!!"
@@tylerbonser7686 Just try playing video games instead. Nonstop. 24/7. LOL. That was one of the jokes, in the stop smoking episode, where David ends up doing just that, while his co-workers run around him, lol...
Love this scene, but something always bugged me about it: Dave & Bill are stranded in St. Louis; it's a fairly major city. Bill would find it similar to a mini-Chicago. Beyond that, though, they're in the *airport* the whole time; airports are basically the same everywhere.
I think Bill would barely tolerate Chicago. His cultured, urbane, persona is a thin and poorly researched veneer. He doesn't want the Guggenheim because he appreciates what it has to offer, but because its status, and that he's entitled to the best.
I thought bill got outside the airport earlier in the episode and was so scarred by it that he couldn't wait to leave. However I can't really remember to say for sure.
Other than their relative proximity and being rivals in several respects, I've never understood the comparison of Chicago and St. Louis. They're not much like each other at all. St. Louis is more like a cross between New Orleans and Kansas City. Also, while the Guggenheim is a fine museum, it's renowned more for the architecture of the museum itself than for its collection. One could pretty easily think of ten better collections in America, including the Art Institute of Chicago.
