I have a large shoots and ladders game board that I made on a $ store white shower curtain. I use this for everything. My students love it. I also use a large deck of playing cards with some extra cards thrown in to make it interesting, ie: ypur boat landed on the rocks go back 2 places. You helped the mermaid go ahead 3 places. LOL
These are all great ideas! I love using magnetic wands, sand trays and vowel tents/sticks to name a few. My first graders love anything hands on. We use the magnetic wands to push the chips for individual sounds. Then blend the sounds by swiping the wand over them. The wand and chips are both magnetic so they attach as we say the word. Similar to your concept of the fidget toy. For my sand trays, I’ll say a sound then have students repeat sound and write letter in the sand. Thanks for always sharing fun, engaging activities. I look forward to your videos every week.
Where do i find the links below you mention in your video of which tools to purchase. I use the finger pointer wands for skywriting! I only have 5 so it’s given to my best listeners.
