I have tried nearly every high end and drug store foundation and miracle of miracles your suggestion of Colourpop Pretty Fresh was awesome! This 70 year old face need all the help it can get and this fit the bill! Thanks!
Hi Lauren! You wanted to know what I thought about the Kosas foundation. I am 52 and have dry, mature skin.. Surprisingly, I had a very different experience than you did. It's crazy how foundations can wear so differently on people. I wasn't my favorite, but I really like it! It wore well on me and stayed looking good the whole day. I did use a pore filling primer and setting spray like I always do., Maybe that's why it wore better on me?? It still couldn't compete with my beloved Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation.I enjoyed your video!
Yes I have the Kosas Concealer & absolutely luv it! Goes on very smoothly & stays put with my Mac powder. Actually bought it for its skin-loving ingredients list!
So many great options, Lauren! Can't wait to try that highlighter and those glosses and lipstick. So nice for Spring! I love the DRMTLGY peptide cream and at 30% off, it's a good one. I still love Good Genes for my exfoliant that you turned me on to. You look great. Hair is on point and just darling in your leopard top! Hope you are taking some down time from nursing and filming-you deserve it! XXOO
Thanks Donna :) a once a week or every other week upload is definitely do-able, and it really is my destressor (not sure if you heard the kiddos in the background 😅). My husband’s a big help!
I prefer very light eyeshadow for everyday so lately I've been loving Essence "my rose will go on" and "nothing compares to nude". They're so affordable yet so good! These 2 are very light tho so probably not for everyone but they're $3.99! You can buy 2 or 3 and mix and match! I also have "dancing green" which is obv the green palette and its gorgeous too! They have a few other ones too. Check them out! You maybe like the "bronzed this way" which has deeper tines mixed with "nothing compares to nude" for a neutral toned set. Now let's hope they come out with a couple more again like the nude a d rose ones are newer. I'd LOVE a khaki palette!
My husband is bringing that Tarte palette back for me at the end of March 😁. I'm still slightly more excited to see him than the palette but it's close.
My go to eye palette is the same as yours…the Tarte Tartlette. It’s just the best. Another one that’s not expensive but is a crazy good neutral palette is Of Quartz by Colourpop! Great price, great quality.
Hahahaha I feel like I could sit down with you and talk skincare and makeup for hours ☺️. We have so many same favourites and similar needs/wants:) I LOVE that MILK foundation. I’ve had it for ages and just love what it does for my skin and nobody talks about it…… I also have been reaching for my Tartlette In Bloom palette as well lately. For every day I also enjoy Colourpop That’s Taupe and ELF Cream and Sugar. I gotta try those Essence glosses now😉 Speaking of foundation….I just recently picked up the IL Makiage foundation and holy moly!! It has moved to my ride or die holy grail. I can’t keep staring at my skin and thinking who are you?? Lol. Not only does it give me the beautiful skin like coverage I love but it lasts ALL day! Like 12 hours! I teach kindergarten and am outside running around, I’m on the floor, I’m singing and reading and wearing a mask all day and at the end of the day when I’m removing my makeup my hyperpigmentation and melasma is still covered up and that almost never happens. Seriously this stuff is as good as they claim and my 57 year old normal to dry skin LOVES it😍 Happy weekend 💕 Xo 🇨🇦
@@thehonestbeautyreview seriously you do! I wore it again today and WOW!! You’re talking to a gal who has 20+ foundations 🙈😳 and this is FINALLY my holy grail. I certainly have others I LOVE but nothing has ever beat this one. I just answered all of their questions and they shade matched me to perfection! Same for my daughter:) I will be shocked if you don’t love this lol 💕 I did get the brush that went with it- probably didn’t need to but I tried my daughters first and fell in love with it
Hi my favourite everyday palette is probably skin tone specific tbh. I am the palest of the pale white Scottish skin with a hint of pink - think the colour of calamine lotion when it dries lol. For reference I'm 0.5 or 0.1 in Revolution, 008/091 in Lancome and C1 in Mac F&B - yes I am that pale. My favourite (now discontinued) palette is the Zoeva en taupe - a palette anyone without very pale skin will hate. I also liked the naked 3 from UD. I like taupes, greys, rosy shades, mauves and purples and anything warm toned looks terrible on me. I don't think my favourite will suit you lol, but it may suit others out there who are on the lightest end of the skin tone spectrum. From the reviews I have seen on the Kosas foundation, it seems to suit normal to combo skin pretty well. Very dry skin can pull a foundation into the pores, as it tries to suck any moisture from it - this may be what is happening to this one on your skin. My skin is really dry, mature and both rosacea and eczema prone - foundation is tricky for me to find something I really love. My two current faves are the Mac F&B (super moisturising) and the lancome teint idole (stays on and looks great for hours). None of the newer ones i've tried work any better than these two. I have a real struggle finding pale enough shades, so that does limit which ones I can sample however. Best wishes.
Have you tried the beauty blender skin tint? What are your thoughts on it? How does it compare with the MILK sunshine tint? Would you say the MILK sunshine tint would be ok for sensitive combo skin or is it really dewy and maybe better for dry/normal skin types?
