Sausages were probably 2 months over the expiration date too, so it is good thing Manuel ruined them. And there were 2 dead pigeons in water tank, so I doubt very much that Fawlty Towers tea and soup tasted very good . And of course wine was corked and Manuel pet rat was running around and they did not know which meat loaf was contaminated with rat poison, so they took just one wild guess after another, collected all meat from the floor ( little bit of floor dirt on meat is not the deal braker ) and still tried to cook them and sell to customers . No wonder they had dead hotel guest, wonder is that rest of bunch survived to see another day
