Thanks Chris . That really was educational ! Had no idea about Andrew Sachs being German ! And no idea of " Fawlty Towers " real location ! And thankfully never stayed at Gleneagles !😆
Great. Found myself laughing out loud at the stuff I didn't know--which was quite a lot. I grew up with the Pythons, as it were, and I regarded Fawlty Towers as an extension of that. So was Palin's fantastic Ripping Yarns.
@@GULLPERCHFLYER THANKS! I think it was the Herald Express in the 1970s. I was born in Torquay, I had family there until the 1990s. I want to be there right now.
@@GULLPERCHFLYER I recall the Python episode which was filmed in Torquay, about the size of a penguin's brain. John Cleese reading the closing credits on the top of an open bus, driving from Paignton towards Torquay.
@@GULLPERCHFLYER I subbed weeks ago. Still waiting for your video about the bombing of Teignmouth Pier. I don't actually know if it was a pier. That's how it was described to me. I can't find ANYTHING about it on the interweb.
