FAY WRAY - Rick McKay's Fay Wray Documentary - KING KONG: The Birth of a Scream 

Short scene from Rick McKay's upcoming documentary film FAY WRAY, made as a tribute to his good friend, the legendary actress and star of KING KONG, Eric Von Sroheim's THE WEDDING MARCH, and almost a hundred other legendary films of Hollywood's golden age of silent films and sound films from the early 1920's through the 1950's. Wray was also a talented playwright and author and was great friends with McKay in the last decade of her life, traveling to film festivals with him from New York to Los Angels and from London to Paris to Venice. The film includes their adventures on the road as well as Wray's first person stories of romances with legendary playwright Clifford Odetts and millionaire Howards Hughes as well as her marriages to Hollywood writers John Monk Saunders and Robert Riskin - and much, much more, as she witnessed a century of Hollywood history before her death in 2004 at almost 97 years of age. Here she talks about the creation of KONG and her legendary scream that has never been forgotten or equaled.
