Spike and Faye constantly fighting while also clearly being attracted to each other but having too much baggage and trust issues to admit it is one if the best parts of the characters interactions through the whole series. It really makes the scene near the end of the show where Faye tries to stop him more impactful. That was the first time she allowed herself to show that she actually cared but it was too little too late.
@@winterspirit3734 i don't, Faye is a complete unlikeable bitch in the live action so there is no appeal. The anime Faye had an attitude but she could be charming and sensitive when she let her shell drop. Also, their stories are meant to be a bit tragic, having them be more romantic would just be another example of the show misrepresenting the soul of the anime.
Honestly I think one of my favorite things about this show was how Jet and Spike interacted with Faye. Despite the fact that she's the classic femme fatale type in both looks and attitude, they both give her shit constantly and don't particularly like her due to the fact that she is a fairly crappy person. Significantly adds to the realism of the characters.
I'm just imaging how they are after the finale. "*Groan* jet. What have you done now jet! You've stuff it up again..." "Grrrrr bloody hell woman! What's your bloody problem this time! Everyday I go out and bust my arse bounty hunting to pay the bills. And you don't care at all! Bloody hell! I wish spike, Ed and ein were still around..."
You could show these 80 seconds to someone who has never even heard of Cowboy Bebop, and they would instantly be able to grasp the personalities and group dynamic of these characters. Meanwhile, you could show them all 8 hours of the Netflix show, and they’d probably just punch you for doing that.
@@SecondReversal I'm partial to "Diggin'" and "Gotta Knock a Little Harder". The selling point of this series, except its well-developed characters, intriguing lore and magnificent fight scenes, was the music. They'd pepper the series with musical gems. I'd wager it's a treasured memory to many here. I'm still moved when I read the final sentence words of the series ("You're gonna carry that weight").
It's actually not bad. Watch with captions on and pay attention without playing on your phone. By the way the consultant for the show is Watanabe himself.
@@thegrimmretails3777It literally is? What are all of you on about? A cartoon by definition is ''a film using animation techniques to photograph a sequence of drawings rather than real people or objects.'' That's literally what Cowboy Bebop is.
i dont watch english dub anime ever and i actually watched cowboy bebop ages ago in subbed BUT DAMN THIS DUB IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD they sound like actual actors with emotion in their voice
With a few exceptions of actors that don't sound as up to snuff, the dub of Tiger and Bunny is really good, and it has Beau Billingslea (Jet) as an ally to the Main Character and Steve Blum (Spike) as the first (and IMO best) villain. It's totally worth a watch to hear him completely ham it up.
@Norman Dragon Ball Evolution is garbage. The Netflix remake is decent at the very best. Seriously, you have no idea what garbage is. You want garbage? Go watch The Last Airbender (the live action movie).
No matter how much millions Netflix throws at the live action, it can NEVER be better than the original!! The Netflix is so stupid and korny I can't comprehend why they even made a live action show from Cowboy Bebop of all the animes out there. Why couldn't they make a live action of Pokemon? That looks lame enough to absorb
Actually they could. Imagine reimagining the world of cowboy bebop in ultra realistic HD cgi, well built sets or on authentic locations (like man, you can't tell where the characters are 99% of the time with their zoomed in shot. Also hire some writer and screen writer who actually had a deep affinity with the original material instead of butchering it, and imagine hire space experts for their space shots (like, the original was quite accurate with their zero gravity, launching, orbiting mechanics and stuff instead of this high fantasy bullshit) Also imagine keeping out far left agenda from the show.
