It’s not that most Americans don’t care about a potential threat. We do. But, if our government is going to decimate millions of American businesses and marketing outlets for authors and artists, then we deserve definitive proof. The director seems very convinced but, should we just take his word for it? This has not always gone well in the past. I don’t like it but data collection and algorithms are standard practice in social media apps. When you say the parent company is beholden to the Chinese government, there begins the speculation and you say that because of the ownership chain they ‘could potentially’ or ‘might be’ and therefore ‘must be’ giving data to the Chinese government or using it to manipulate Americans. All this without offering us tangible proof of such activity. From our perspective, you are recommending action based on speculation and have congress so rattled they are sliding this right through. We want to believe and trust you but at a time when we are all struggling to find a way to make a living in an ever changing world, losing access to this app will be a gut punch to many of us. If this is real, show us.

We have approximately 3.7 million teachers in the United States. If we armed 10% that would be 370,000 gun safes that would need to be bought and installed, they would need to be decent safes. So let's say 2000 installed . Then the Teacher would need a decent gun, training , ammunition to practice with , money for permits , maintaine on the gun , the teachers time... nights at the gun range . How does that fit into the Budget . How does that fit into a teachers pay . How about Vest and riot gear, I mean if cops get Riot gear our teachers need it too right ? How about insurance 🤔 How about the fact the even high train officer , miss 6 out of 10 Shots fired on average in live situations. Thats 6 out of 10 shots missed in a school full of children at best , fired by teachers that may or may not have the best training. Additionally, the mental and emotional toll on teachers who are now responsible for carrying a weapon in the classroom must be considered. It is crucial to weigh the financial and psychological implications before deciding whether arming teachers is a wise and feasible solution for school safety.

Actually what's the issue here? Just classify your data into different categories (public info, restricted, classified, secret, top secret etcs..) sensitive information definitely don't put in tik tok and you will be fine. The rest are open data
