Your first video hit the nail on the head. USE FBPP if you quickly want to see the results of your image. Use WBPP if you want to get serious about stacking and post processing your images with good quality.

Great analysis - in detail - but sticking to the stuff that matters. Clear concise, efficient. Thank you.

Another reason why I stay with wbpp.

I tried FBPP for the first time today. The results were absolutely horrendous. Not sure why. EDIT: flats were to blame. FBPP actually works extremely well.

How many frames were you stacking? Used calibration frames? What were your results with the same data in WBPP?

@@setiv2 Right. I suspected there was something wrong with my flats and indeed, after only stacking the light frames, the results were really good. I actually have a hard time distinguishing the FBPP result from the WBPP result (at the highest quality settings). I normally don't even take flats when imaging with OSC and using a 3nm dual band filter. Reason being that the flats get this intense reddish to blueish gradient which seems to cause issues when using them for calibration.

@@elbass0 weird. Flats shouldnt do that. If you want to follow up further with that issue you can always email me frank@setiastro.com

Many thanks for that. Great video and so helpful for someone in my situation (also, I am not very techy, so very easy to comprehend).
