Xavi being able to win la liga despite the club's struggles was impressive. I belive that with a little more time and support he would've been able to accomplish even more greater things but the critics and fans didn't give him a chance... sad to see a legend go for a second time.. first as a player now as a manager
Why cant people get this inside their head the only reason barca won was because both madrids were underperforming and barca was over performing by alot
@@absarsheeraz5026over performing is a great way to win a league. Get it in your head that beating the juggernaut of Real is always impressive considering their spending and to do it when they have the quality manager and players they do is even more imprsssive
"Hello, I am Jose Mourinho" Alright I got it Jose wouldn't fit for Barca. Y'all took it too seriously, it was just the first name come to mind when you hear "special person"
It's not Xavis fault bro. He's been put under so much pressure, which is completely unfair imo. Next manager needs to be someone who knows what Barca stands for, someone who's been at the club before, but not someone who left in the past 7/8 years (as an ex player, except Busquets). I know it's very very unlikely but we need someone like Enrique or Pep, but they both won't do it again
There's only one man who fits into this description it's none other than Jose Mourinho. 1. He knows Barca very well 2. He can handle pressure so easily 3. Doesn't get affected by media pressure 4. Connects very well with players 5. He can do wonders with teams who have small budgets all by his tactics 6. Barca has many young players he can provide them with right guidance to make them into even better players 7. He's available in next season He's the best available manager Barca can have let's be honest pep won't be leaving city for Barca whose financial condition is getting worse & worse as time goes by.
@@masood7336way back in 90-s he was, actually, some sort of a manager in Barcelona. He was a translator for Robson, than became an assistant to him and then to Louis Van Gaal. So yeah. He basically knows what Barcelona is. He knows how it was, how to beat them. And, tbh, by reading his biographies I got an impression that he didn’t like his stay at Madrid. He were fuming on how toxic his players are, and that they don’t want to do what he does. Maybe he stayed in touch, in some sort of friendship with Florentino Perez, but I don’t think that it’s enough
@@ignaciodeltoro1778 when on earth did he say that. He just xavi is good and he couldn’t do it, therefore so many other good managers won’t be able to besides pep.
I think Mourinho might do better but he won't go to Barca. If there's one manager who can do it then it's one & only Jose Mourinho but it's just pointless to think about it as that won't ever happen.
The fact that Rafa Marquez is the last player from the prime era to still help Barca is sad. He’s the only one who has the old way of play(prime) and could help the defenders improve a lot. He was always capable of slamming cristiano Ronaldo and Messi during his career. He would be a good fit
despite what results we get this season ...the next season is going to be crucial for our clubs future ....the next manager whoever it will be will have a huge huge responsibility to squeeze the potential out of these young players on a strict budget ...in my opinion , we have the quality of players ...we just need someone to control the talent properly ...xavi has trying his best but has quite been able to handle the huge pressure
You are correct. All modern big clubs have so little patience nowadays. Remember Sir Alex Ferguson won 0 trophies the first 3.5 years at Man Utd, he was lucky to win the FA cup in the 4th year to save his job and went on to win 38 trophies at the club. Who knows what Xavi might have achieved if he was manager at Barca for 28 years like Fergie was at United.
@@WhaleydaveyYeah bro right and Pep also didnt win major trophies in his First years at Man City 😮😮. And now look at them. One of the best team ls in Europe and are a Juggernaut
@@ashfaqsheikh3134 Yes. Club owners have less and less patience nowadays. And the more successful a club becomes - the more pressure a manager is under. Real, Barca and Chelsea are examples where managers were fired after “only” winning a league title in 2 seasons or even 1 season in the case of Real.
This is why i really rate your channel. Love the insightfulness you give in your videos and not just giving us videos just on face value with no proper explanations. Keep it up
Xavi had to include so many homegrown players not solely because of the financial issues, but also because their list of injured players has grown out of hand. They couldn't buy new players so they HAD to look into the academy for fillers.
Bro Barca's financial condition was the main reason why he left Barca. Current Barca's financial condition is even worse than it was in 2012. He would never come back he would rather retire than join Barca again.
bro it's true, pep is nothing without a lot of money, he left barça because of their financial situation and ain't coming back anytime soon, pep without money is nothing, barça needs someone like mourinho
Is no-one at Barca even mentioning Xabi Alonso, although they might have to fight Real, Liverpool and Bayern for the manager. Or is it because of Xabi’s ties with Real Madrid, that make it an impossible move?
@@Whaleydavey they can't afford him especially after his rise as a manager with tactical masterclass don't be delusional. Even if Barca gives him an offer he would reject why would he go to Barca? Doesn't make any sense going to Barca will be a downgrade. Liverpool, Bayern, Madrid every big club wants him now tell me why would he go to barca instead of going to these big clubs.
@@het6618 Same reason a lot of their current first team players did, even taking a paycut to play for Barca. I’m not saying he will go to Barca, but it is still an option to look at.
@@Whaleydavey yea unfortunately I see a lot of “fans” commenting Barca need to ditch their philosophy🤦🏽♂️ bunch of glory hunters as if that isn’t the reason why the true supporters love the team
@@Alpha-uh3cqklopp is NOT managing the germany team😂 hes said he not managing any team for while until he feels like its time to return which could be a few years
They should actually try and get Wenger for a few years if they can. Proven, works within a budget, likes young players, plays with a Barcelona style.... but please papa Wengz don't do it
I can see Rafa Marquez being the man for this job - former Barca captain, former President of Club Atlas, his boyhood club in Mexico, and now two successful stints managing youth teams in Spain. They nicknamed him the Kaiser for a reason 😮💨
Ngl, Real are my favourite Spanish team, probably my 3rd favourite team after AC Milan and Arsenal but still, I'd be happy if Jose joined them and had success with them. I mean, he's already managed Inter and Chelsea, Spurs (and technically Barca as an assistant) so I'm used to him having success with my rivals (except Spurs)
As a Barca fan, I think our next manager should he Hansi Flick. He seems determined to get the job, and he will improve the intensity of this team. I've got to admit though, Xavi has laid a great foundation for the next coach, he has don a good job, and I am grateful for what he's done at the club. I would like to see Ruben Amorim if not Flick
yes flick brings intensity but he goes all in , he is not good with defensive transitions, he doesn't have a barca dna, he is not good with youngstars. Don't be fooled with his reign with bayern, barca should stick to xavi or bring in negelsmann.
Exactly. Look at what he did with a Ajax squad. The reason Man U is failing is because of players are unwilling to give thier best in the field. And he is also very strict. J think Barcelona should consider him if he gets sacked by the Glazers.
No I agree with you In a big barca fan channel there was a poll in watchalong Would you choose eth over xavi if you had a chance more than 50% said yes Last season One season can't define him he is the man for barca
Give Marquez a shot: -He played in Barca and will likely have some buy-in from players and fans -He already works in Barca B so he likely knows how to make things work internally with the front office, players to promote from Barca B
I think Xavi take all the responsibility for Barcelona but the one who play bad was players i think. In Messi Era, Messi took all the responsibility, because fan always believed in Messi. But now he was gone, that's why fan only believe in coach, that's why Xavi got lot of pressure.
What Barcelona actually needs are Presidents with financial prudence. The mentality to not splurge cash but instead build slow and steady. They don’t need to splash for every player with good talent or take the best talent they can ever find. They are big club and have the ability to undercut prices to small teams. It is what that is needed most.
The only person who can help them now is Alonso, his tactics are brilliant for Barca players! But I am happy he was Madrid player so that will probably never happen
I would get the Argentina coach give him a try he looks the type of man that will accept and will adore the hate and pressure of the press and move that negativity off his players 🙏
@@italianodblaugrana3842having stigma in football is what creates chaos in football. Who cares if he’s Mexican! Since when was football limited to a nationality. I don’t care if he’s an ant or an elephant I want a manager who suits barca and Marquez has those qualities to fit that criteria as Barca’s head manager. I don’t even want Xavi to leave I want him to stay for more seasons like Atleti trust simeone but we are not the Barca of 2009, 2011, and 2015.
I really don’t know how people can even blame Xavi, I mean what do you think was gonna happen with a manager that has such a restrictive budget? 111 million euros over 3 years is crazy. Some of the competing teams all over Europe spend that on two players. He managed to win two trophies including the league with a ragtag of players. Like yeah you can bring up the big names last year which would only be Lewandoski, but he clearly was a former shell of his bayern days. So I feel bad for Xavi, he probably would’ve done way better had he had the budget and team back in 2019. But I guess Barcelona are supppse to pull someone out of their ass that can replicate a Pep, Cruyff or whatever type of manager, I really don’t know who they will get. Since most likely this will be another Barcelona 2000-2005 moment when they get another manager for the last transition and then get the next Pep or Luis Enrique. So basically Barcelona are in a really tight spot, it’s very hard to find a manager similar to that aura or commanding presence. Since the players at Barcelona are pretty talented, however they have been underperforming, and still need a few more players with certain abilities to really compete against the best. Also I wanna say, that dembele probably would’ve helped Barcelona a lot this season, even though he’s been pretty ass in PSG, his basil toy to score against the best teams is kinda weird. Like how was he always able to score against Real Madrid, atletico and etc?
The problem with the academy stat is they only promoted these players out of desperation whether it be injuries or restrictions. The old Barca way was promotion because we believed in them. We slowly integrated our players not have a 17 year old play 60 games because half the team is injured.
I personally want Wenger, but it’s not gonna happen 😂. A coach who is great at financial management and known for producing world class from a youngster.
he wanted to be barca manager but they pretty much insulted him and never gave him a chance and pretty much took a inexpirenced rijkaard over him no matter how much the current manager defended him so i highly doubt he will join expesicely after humbing barca with inter milan
I believe most Barcelona fan would more than happy to take what happen recently last season. After a successful season, they forgot what and where they were and who brought them there. That's really a sad thing happen in football today. Sir Alex would archived nothing with Man utd if this happened to him.
Put Pep Guardiola there now. Wonder how much he will be able to live up to the challenge of not being handed the keys to the "biggest club in the world" after nearly Barca, prime Bayern Munich and on the brink of prime Man City. Probably will take a beating to his reputation if he returns
