FC Peterborough Reserves and Deeping Rangers Development provided a spicy pre-season friendly at the Focus Community Centre, that will be remembered for an infamous touchline brawl. Early in the second half, a FC Peterborough player punched the Deeping centre-back off camera, prompting the referee to ask both managers to substitute the two players involved, to avoid either being sent off, with the game being a friendly. 15 minutes later, during a water break, things erupted further.
