Take the spare tire off the back and add crip/skateboard tape to the aluminum plate....I mean, no rocks ate made of smooth aluminum. Lol. And we're looking for maximum degrees, right?! You have the best micro reviews. Keep it coming.

Yeah, we’ve though it using some skateboard grip tape. The item in the video is actually the underside of a tile and has a good amount of grip, just not enough apparently.

The small silver balls are for the original shocks to replace the original screw/balls if you need to put a longer screw. I have a way better flex if I put a spacer between the link and the shocks, but in order to do that, I need to put a longer screw. Thanks for the video.

furitek makes some full 4 link front and rears: furitek.com/search?type=product&q=fcx24%20link as for the drive shaft, any proper length scx24/fcx24 shaft should work fine.

The stock tyres are really ordinary. I pulled the tyres off of my eazy rc patriot and put them on the power wagon and they made a big difference.

My McCue Links broke in no time unfortunately. The RC4WD aluminium ones stand up to the extra weight my FXC24 has on it. The aluminium links also have much more free articulation

Gladiator links are about the same as the mccue links. No shock mount holes on them, so you'd have to figure that out. But gladiator links will work also with some extra work.

Thank you for the video this is exactly what I wanted to know. cause I have mcque on mine but I also use his bed with those being longer than the mcque looks like the bed would not work. Do you know what the treals kit lengths are? Oh and I also don't like the look of the grub screw

Yeah, the grub screw is tiny… I think a .9mm. It’s a non-ideal choice for sure. I am unsure on the treals as I have not tried them. The McCue bed should still work with the RCAWD links but the wheels will be longer for sure. At some point I need to get the bed and then I can show it.

Extended!! I didn't like the driveshaft either. My kit came with 4 grub screws so I installed all of them.

Mine only came with three as well. I had McCue trailing arms mounted up, so I ended up just leaving my axial gladiator drive shaft on. The mccue links will be going on another fcx. thanks for the vids! 👍🏻

Hi Ken, I came back to an older vid on the fcx24, but my main question is, do you know what size the plug connector for the headlights are? Mine was a factory damage and the wire came out of that male plug end that plugs into the ESC. All FMS support states it's a ph2, but this has to be smaller. I know it's a 3 pin, but only uses 2 wires. If I knew what size this ESC takes, then I'd find a pack of connectors and replace it myself. Since you're really involved with rc's I thought i'd ask you. Do you know what size all the plug connectors the FCX24 uses? Thanks for your time. Awesome vids.....✌️✌️

I believe it’s jst or molex picoblade 1.25. The jst and molex are just the brand. The 1.25 is the pin spacing and that the important part.

I have a question… this is my first 1/18 scale. In all of my 1/24’s when I upgrade the links, the flat side faces inwards. Does it change in a bigger scale?

With these links you can install them either way depending on what you’re trying to do. ;)

@@RCRookie805 ahh. On the link balls, you want the larger side facing towards the exposed, non-captured side of mounting. That way the link can’t pull through the o-ring and screw head. Regardless of scale

Not really no. You can try the FMS links, but they are all m2 hardware where the scx is m1.4

@@TheShopMiniRC i may need to try it but use your fishing line crimp method. Hopefully the width of those balls fits, but i guess it's within grinding width? Plus 35mm would be great on the Meus LCG scx24 build i just did because it's too short. And so then the only thing would be the drive shaft, can't remember, do the these drive shafts fit the scx24 transmissions? Ehhh, it's kindof a crappy shaft because of the round hole and screws. I'll need to find something else for that. Hmmmm I could still find a drive shaft. Gonna have to follow a couple of your links! For links! Hehehe Thank you for the help, and awesome tutorial videos!

@@MrsRabbit8 yeah, the driveshafts generally work but they do have a full circle hole. You can usually make just about anything work with enough effort. lol
