DO NOT ASK for ride alongs in the FDNY because of this video. I was an exception as I was a good friend of the chief whose name is not disclosed. As well as being the creator of the Manhattan Modification doing research. The guys at the firehouse seem to be big fans : )

That's right. No asking for ride-alongs simply because of this video. Instead, if you really want to ride-along, just go to a firehouse and ask. These guys are quit friendly.

AWESOME video! I was hoping to be able to make a ride along or at least to mount a camera on one of the FDNY's vehicles (e.g. Engine 54, Truck 4, Battalion 9 or so) since I had a business appointment at the HQ and was supposed to make a report ... but then Sandy came and destroyed that plan

48th and 8th is the station not 49th. they turned right on 50th st. 48th heads east, 49th west, 50th east.

FYI, the word disclosed in your description means the complete opposite of what it was written for, otherwise his name would be written in the description. A better phrase would be "...whose name will not be disclosed."
