Every time I watch one of the chiefs give a press conference it amazes me the dumb and repetitive questions that get asked. Chief Ferrier repeated the number of injuries like 5 times and they kept asking the same thing. Great video as usual.
Great video John, especially of tow truck removing the bus from the building! Thanks for staying and waiting for them to remove bus so we could witness the operation!
I dont know if you have a video of it or not but I would like to see the command center more. How it is operated. Like how do they keep track of things when there is like 100 units there? This video was amazing. So impressed every time I watch a video by you. Great fantastic work. And I never thought purple and yellow went together but they wear it nice.
Beautiful coverage video JJ, Gosh, hitting into a building that has Law Offices! I hope the person that was injured in building has a full recovery. :o)
Any idea what the guy with the green FDNY lettering and the surveyor equipment was doing? Was he measuring for wall displacement? Noticed another guy around the 30:45 mark, too. Great video with lots of terrific views!
+Matt Andaloro WELL, THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS AND I CAN'T SEEM TO SEE WHAT GUY YOU ARE SPEAKING OF... LET ME KNOW A BETTER TIME STAMP! THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH MY FRIEND! ;o)
+Matt Andaloro OH NOOOOOO..... HEHEHE! HE WAS A FDNY RESCUE 4 OF FDNY COLLAPSE RESCUE 4 FIREFIGHTER AND WAS JUST LOOKING THRU THAT GIZMO. THAT EQUIPMENT BELONGED TO THE NYPD HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER WHO IS ON THE OTHER SIDE MEASURING STUFF WITH YET ANOTHER DEVICE! THANKS SO MUCH MY FRIEND MATT! ;o)
The the truck that lift the bus out of the building is a rotator and that it primary job right there while the second large truck that came in is a heavy wrecker and it primary job is to tow large and heavy vehicle like a bus or a semi.
That old mack (the Rescue operations truck) is/was used as a spare rescue rig. Seeing that Rescue 2 and 4 were already on scene, maybe they brought it for extra supplies. I doubt they would dispatch 3 Rescues to an incident. A more direct answer is there is no difference between that spare rig and a modern rescue.
Well, a prius is at least something you can call a car. You know what doesnt look right? A police Renault Twizy. Yes, the name is as ridiculus as the "car" itself. I mean, the Twizy is not a car, thats a Go Kart with a roof and even a Smart is better.
I wonder how this driver ended up on the opposite side of the road and smash into that home. Maybe they will tell us at the press conference? Hope so.Can't hear what he is saying because of those damn news helicopters. Someone should have told that guy to speak up!!
