On the other side since you absorbed Sothois and her crest stone which is made out of her heart is part of your body she can be technically considered your daughter She is not your mother as I dont remember her giving you her blood only implanting the stone into you to save you ... and she is not your sister as she is not a child of either Jeralt or your other.

Those Who Slither in the Dark? All these things are a direct result of her obsessive “mother-complex”. To ignore all of that is abhorrent to me. I mean I can understand how she feels, but to manipulate history, create a religion that worships her, and create a system that abuses both nobles and common man alike...is wrong. Technically by that point she acknowledges that you are your own person, since Sothis kinda just dumped the Progenitor God's power onto you instead of doing literal possession like Loptyr did to Julius. So you're not really her mom so Sothis can still 'watch over' the two of you. But she's still your grandma so still incest.

Golden Deer is probably the most humane one if you were to have to choose in real life, but El's route would probably give the best results in the long run. It really depends on whether you believe the ends justify the means or not.

Regardless of the Sothis thing, Rhea is still your grandmother. And Byleth's hair changed colour because he fused with Sothis, so it isn't just spiritual.

And (at least to me) it seemed like Byleth just absorbed Sothis and gained her powers. And I'm pretty sure Byleth's mom was (as Rhea stated) a nun at the church, who Rhea implanted Sothis's crest stone into. Rhea would have had to have given birth to Byleth's mom for her to be your grandmother, right? (It is still my interpretation. Wether I'm right or wrong, I think we can all agree that this is a big mess of confusion). So Byleth just has Sothis's crest stone in him. I don't think that necessarily makes him Sothis. The only way that would have happened would be if Sothis completely took over Byleth, and they truly became what Rhea wanted from the beginning: a vessel/host.

Silver Snow states that Rhea created your mother, so yes, we can assume that she is, in fact, your grandmother. The fact that Sothis was able to even take control over Byleth shows that she has some physical control over him. Also, Rhea gave Jeralt her blood, hence why he doesn't know his own age and there are so many discrepancies with him, like how he was able to train Alois when Alois himself was very young, but stay the same. As you should know, Blood is hereditary, so you would have some of Rhea's blood in your normally, making her like, a quarter your mother, meaning that Rhea is your grandmother, quarter mother, and daughter.

She lost her physical form a long time ago, when Nemesis killed her and turned her remains into the Sword of the Creator and the Crest stone. Byleth's hair and and eye color change was just him absorbing Sothis's power. Rhea even says outright that Sothis merely "gifted you her power" and then basically fucked off. Heck, the closest thing Sothis has to a physical form is the crest stone in Byleth's heart and the Sword of the Creator. The Sothis we know just exists in Byleth's head. Sothis also never took control of Byleth. They were still their own person, they were just hosting Sothis's spirit. While blood is hereditary, that still confuses me a lot. So like, if I gave someone a blood donation, and that person had a child, I'd be related to that person and their child? I don't think that is how that works. (Maybe it does, but it is incredibly confusing to me). As for everything else you said... yeah now that I look those over, and I re-watched the cutscene of Silver Snow that leads up to the final battle... yeah I guess that kind of makes sense. Heck, by this logic, it also reveals that Rhea isn't the ONLY incest pairing in the game. This means that it is also incest to S Support Edelgard. (She does bare the Crest of Seiros after all, and unlike the Crest of Flames, Edelgard had the Crest of Seiros naturally from birth. And since Rhea herself IS Seiros, that means Edelgard and Rhea are related, making Edelgard Rhea's descendent, and by relation, Byleth's.) So THAT means that by the logic presented to me now, in the waifu war that is Rhea vs Edelgard, it is either "Fight for your grandmother/daughter" or "Fight for your descendent/ great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great granddaughter". Thank goodness I went Blue Lions and my waifu of choice was Shamir. (Guess that means in the world of three houses, the best way to avoid incest is to marry Byleth to someone who doesn't have a crest.) (Also, I guess if I am following your logic, does that mean S supporting Sothis is masturbation?)

I don’t see her as a villain , well unless in crimson flower , that’s the only route where you can truly call her a villain and when she goes all out evil at the end . But for all the other routes , I think she fits as more of a anti hero . She had the right idea for fodlan but she had many flaws in her methods that deflect this , so she lacks the traditional sense of a hero , but she definitely isn’t a villain . She turns into the immaculate one to protect Byleth and his/her students multiple times in verdant wind , blue lions and silver snow , not something a villain really does .

It's probably similar to how people say Edelgard is evil: they saw the route where the character fell into darkness and was at their worst, and they made their decision on the character mainly based on that route.

I think most people really don't look past the surface. No, blood transfusions don't magically make anyone related to each other; and before anyone says "but it's magic blood, so maybe it can" just look at Byleth for that. They don't have a Crest of Seiros, their lifespan is that of a normal human (otherwise they would've looked like a child when they arrived at Garreg Mach) and they weren't born with any sort of Nabatean traits. Also *SPOILERS* in the final boss battle of Silver Snow, everyone who had Rhea's blood turned into a monster along with Rhea. Byleth remained perfectly normal. And I don't know why people think that artificially making someone is the same as conceiving. I mean, if we go by that logic, are we gonna say that Adam and Eve were "family" since God created them both and we're all the product of some fucked up incestous relationship? And before someone says "but Rhea created Sitri using her own blood!", that's never actually said in the game and I don't know why everyone just unanimously accepted that theory. There's actually a lot of evidence to show that, no, Sitri didn't come from any part of Rhea. And finally, no, Byleth isn't Sothis. The game makes it very clear that Byleth and Sothis are both separate entities, and Byleth is very much their own person. The whole "fusion" was basically just Sothis giving her power to Byleth and then her spirit vanishing into the afterlife (or something like that). Otherwise, how did she manage to bring Byleth back from the brink after they fell from the cliff? Hell, Rhea herself even says so in the end of SS/VW "and yet, she merely gifted her power to you, and then vanished" and her whole S-support conversation is about her recognizing that Byleth is their own person, and that she loves them for that (which is also why it doesn't make sense to me why people say she wants to marry her mother).

You can get A support with her in every route since hers is the only one that's unlocked pre-timeskip. You can only S-rank her in Silver Snow though.

Well Byleth already has some strong parallels to Kronos. Like being able to manipulate time, become a monarch, lead a group of powerful people, use a scythe . So if they have kids, I wouldn’t be surprise if they have a son named Hades and a daughter named Hestia.

As someone who plays Fallout: New California once in a blue moon... There is hundreds of hours of dialogue, thousands of pages, and hundreds of triggers. The importance of Beta Testing cannot be overstated, as even in it's current state there are A LOT of cases where dialogue in text does not match the VA and we need to tell the dev team where the dialogue is, what the VA says, and what the Text says.

Nissi Greer this, sothis does become part of Byleth but at the end everything Byleth does is his own choosing. Goes back to Sothis wanting Byleth to promise her that he’ll cut his own path, which he does after the 5 year time skip.

One last note: Rhea never calls Blyeth her son/daughter (she saids "child" but never "her child") nor does she recognize Blyeth as Sothis. She saids instead of Blyeth turning into Sothis like she hoped for in the tomb, Sothis just blessed the professor. So with my logic, and the game's logic Rhea and Blyeth are not being family is far more supported than Rhea gave birth 12 times or Rhea grew her subjects in a lab with science.

One little problem tho. Even if we ignore that Byleth's mother can be considered Rhea 'daughter', not because she gave birth, but because most inventors consider their creations their sons/daughter, even ignoring that, Byleth IS Sothis. Just as Sothis IS Byleth. They completely fused their souls at the end of the Pre-timeskip saga. Sothis is completely gone after that, only seeing her in her S-Support at the end of the game, and even then, said S-Support implies that Sothis that appeared is just a manifestation of her personality that is engrained in Byleth's brain/soul, rather than Sothis's soul itself. Don't get me wrong, I like Byleth/Rhea, but at this point Incest is a staple of the FE franchise. Not really.

@@santiviera Byleth is 100% not Sothis. He makes it very clear when speaking to Flayn about it. She gave him her powers and their "souls" are fused but its still Byleth. Byleth is still Byleth even when he/she loses her heart after killing Rhea. For me anyways, I see it as Sothis gave her powers to Byleth by fusing their souls. Notice how Byleth never inherented the elf ears. Thats just my perspective anyways.
