“Be he foe or friend, be he foul or clean Brood of Morgoth or bright Vala, Elda or Maia or Aftercomer, Man yet unborn upon Middle-earth, Neither law, nor love, nor league of swords, Dread nor danger, not Doom itself Shall defend him from Fëanáro, and Fëanáro’s kin, Whoso hideth or hoardeth, or in hand taketh, Finding keepeth or afar casteth A Silmaril. This swear we all… Death we will deal him ere Day’s ending, Woe unto world’s end! Our word hear thou, Eru Allfather! To the everlasting Darkness doom us if our deed faileth… On the holy mountain hear in witness and our vow remember, Manwë and Varda!"
TEARS UNUMBERED YE SHALL SHED AND THE VALAR WILL FENCE VALINOR, AND SHUT YOU OUT. SO THAT NOT THE ECHOES OF YOUR LAMENTATIONS SHALL PASS OVER THE MOUNTAINS. ON THE HOUSE FEANOR (tecnically the house of feanor is the house of finwe which all Noldor Royalty belong, even Finarfin, buut lets not think about that) THE WRATH OF THE VALAR LIES FROM THE WEST UNTO THE UTTERMOST EAST AND ALL THOSE WHO FOLLOW THEM IT SHALL BE LAID ALSO. THE DISPOSSED THEY SHALL FOREVER
We need more of THIS Elven music! Yes the calm flutes and violins are nice but there is a serious lack of epic Elvish music. Very well done to the creator!
Oh my god, how does this not have more views? This is the almost the perfect soundtrack for the Dagor nuin Giliath. All it needs is a tenor singing in Quenya.
The first three seconds sound almost exactly like Dark Rebirth from Stardust Crusaders so I was surprised how this song had a completely different vibe right after that. I'm really glad this was in my recommended list and I'll check out more of your music! :)
"Their Oath shall drive them, and yet betray them, and ever snatch away the very treasures that they have sworn to pursue. To evil end shall all things turn that they begin well; and by treason of kin unto kin, and the fear of treason, shall this come to pass. The Dispossessed shall they be forever." I think this song fits with that quote nicely- it sounds hopeless and grim, yet determined. It's almost like the Sons of Feanor, endlessly pursuing an oath that never should have been taken.
Feanor literally started the story of the Silmarillion. Without him going to Middle Earth and setting the following kingdoms of elves who opposed Melkor. There be no story at all to begin with.
Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on? Where is this from? Did you just make it and name it? Got me on the wiki doin all this research into the Noldor n shit
Ok.. My name is Lantis Hatzipapas and I compose this music thinking how Feanor march to middle earth to reclaim the Silmarills... I used various kontakt libraries in FL Stoudio...
@lant1s23 wow. I am very impressed. This is worthy to stand amongst the great compositions of LOTR and the Rings of Power. I listen to each pretty much daily. You've been added to my list. Thank you
Oaths in Tolkien universe have power in a literal meaning. There are driven and there are consequences once it is evoked. The Oath of Feanor was a dreadful irrevocable oath that brings death and destruction to those who stand in their path to retrieved the Silmarils.
Always remember: Olwe's people commenced it by drowning some of Feanor's followers. As the Sea Elves said, they loved their ships with a fierce, jealous love like that of Feanor for his Silmarils. I wonder what dreadful oath the Falmari had sworn, to justify what they did?
