The worst thing to me about pocketcat is that when he talks to kids he like agressively flirts with them. Its so simple yet so revolting.

I've always liked how, due to his name and appearance, Pocketcat SEEMS like he'd be the sorta "iconic mascot" to the series, but the reason why he isn't is because he's a creepy child abductor. It feels like a retaliation to that type of character trope, which I find interesting.

I like to think that pocket cat is just the mask possessing a body like think of Jim Carrey's "The Mask", and that its not necessary for a person to have the blank soul to be possesed, they just have to accept Pocket Cats offer and then the mask goes on them becoming Pocket Cat, The reason i think this is because i believe a strong will has manipulated Daan's life so he is at Termina during this specific festival to be turned into a Sulfer Cultist because i believe the Sulfer God is looking for a host so that the god can revive in the mortal world, thats the point of looking for Cult members during the festival and dropping them to the sulfer pits, and Daan with the Blank soul might be the best candidate to become a host of Sulfer. Pocket Cat knows this and therefore tries to get Daan to agree to a possession, to prevent him from reviving the Sulfer God

I always thought how strange its name is. After a closer look and sprite animation. I think the "pocket" doesn't implying the adjective of his presence but more of verb.

I feel like pocket cat is a work around for the moon to have a competent presence on earth that doesn’t degrade over time. That fact that others can become pocket cat and that while strong he is killable means a specific version of him will never be around long enough to go corrupt or degrade over time. And once one dies the moon good can just choose someone new and have them pick up where the old pocket cat left off. Assuming the persona completely takes over the moon god could even selectively give knowledge from the old pocket cats to the new ones depending on what the task is.

I think pocketcat is a self-aware reality bender character, I.E Bill Cipher esque. The Old Gods were implied to be of an incredible power, so one of their direct servants still being fully intact nd not withered down by the years would likely have incredible power. I mean, even while just in a mortal form, Pocketcat can (spoilers) Basically rip one of your limbs off as a free action PER TURN, no coinflip needed.

I think Pocketcat is based on the work of an artist named Louis Wain (1860-1939). Although Louis Wain was relatively well known for his early works featuring anthropomorphic cats published in scores of magazines and childrens books. He ultimately become famous for his decent into madness. Which gave his later works (again featuring anthropomorphic cats) unsettling and psychotic quality's. Plus when you look at Miro Haverinen (the Fear and Hunger dev...) horrifically twisted characters designs, it's pretty obvious that his artistic style is based on a dark and macabre type of abstract surrealism. Another hint backing up this idea can be found when you talk to Pocketcat in the Museum (in Fear and Hunger 2 Termina) as I don't believe it's a mistake that yourself and Pocketcat have your conversation while standing in font of a massive copy of "Guernica". One of Pablo Picasso's most famous and disturbing paintings, Guernica was inspired by the 1937 Spanish civil and is known because of its powerful abstract portrayal of universal suffering, especially that of innocent victims...
