Episode 2 in a series I'm creating to talk about the common things that scare me and other riders. In today's episode I'm dealing with big jumps. This is how I deal with and work my way up to hitting a bigger than normal feature. I step my mind and my skillset up to the point where I can physically see myself doing it cleanly in my minds eye. If you have any other ideas to help ease these fears, please let me know in the comments!

What a great video. Sharing your fear and overcoming it through practice and hard work. Was that from today (Sunday)? I was about 15 min from Jareds around noonish and it started pouring rain so I went home. Bummer...😥 I've got my eye on that step up at the end of Armuchi...I think I got it...maybe. Always great to watch your videos. Love those stories.

“Just send it” has hurt so many people 😂. Gotta be calculated with it.

Exactly my point! I'm probably too cautious, but I hate being hurt...

Love to see the progression! Jumps are my next skill to conquer, but i take the same approach, experience has taught me that I'm a pretty good judge if my abilities, if my gut says "No" then I sure enough better listen. Fear and gut feel have different voices, but it takes a while to learn the difference.

Great way to put it! Jumps can be so fun but also scary at the same time 😆 thankfully we’ve got some really good progressive jumps in the area now to learn and practice
