@@onerosegrowing936 who else could this song be about? He’s the one who has the right to be more than afraid at this point. “Lost all control” is definitely an Oscar thing, he’s the one with no control, he’s dragged along and has to pretend he’s okay or rush into being okay

​@@tetragaming6332i feel like this song could also be interpreted through the lens of ironwood, who shuts out all his emotions and doesnt listen to his heart, except where fear is involved. That being said, i like it more as oscar's song anyway x3

I'm still on the fence in the beginning i understand he merely was a host for ozpin but now and more in the future he will have to grow into his own person the issue with main characters is how they're all mary sues

Not really. He's just more like Ozpin.

@@sparknazo I don't necessarily agree that the main characters are all Mary Sues. Ruby wants to do the right thing, so much so that she's naive to reality. She also apparently breaks down completely at the mere mention of her mother (not sure whether this is bad character continuity or just the situation cause Raven brought her up in Vol. 5 and Ruby didn't particularly react probably because she got hit by a fireball). Weiss neglected her brother in liberating herself and therefore basically abandoned him with their drunk mother and abusive father. Blake and Yang got caught in a lie by Ironwood and ended up losing his trust as they'd lied about Robyn. Even though their intentions are good, they aren't great with authority. That's just the title characters. Out of the main characters, I'd say they all have their flaws and faults (whether they're for plot convenience or are genuine character traits or have been developed).

Yeah in volume 7 you could see more ozpin in him like its subtly starting to change him

I feel like this soundtrack has exactly captured the tone of volume 7. I also think it is the best as a whole soundtrack by far. Of course there are songs from other volunes that are better than some of the ones on here, but imo every song on this album is great.

I can't quite tell who this song is about. I feel like it's an oscar or ozpin song. Is oscar questioning ospin, after all the 'truth' that he's lead the world to believe, all of sudden, in a blink of an eye it has all fallen apart (jinn revealing the past) and has hidden himself away out of fear of how RWBY would react knowing the truth. So he has lost all control and in a way has broken from his soul, or well more broken/hidden from oscar. Or is oscar asking Ironwood about how all of a sudden his entire world view was shattered about his mentor, will he now just give into fear. Will Ironwood see Ozpin as a stranger when he returns, will ironwood be proud by his decision or will he feel betrayed (or feels like he betrayed ramnent, either for trusting ozpin to begin with or betraying remnent when he turned on ozpin). EIther way, this song is too real right now and is hitting me

@@kieranhoare7239 I'd argue that the 'stranger' mentioned in the chorus is actually oneself. If you were able to see yourself at a moment when all that you'd relied on had fallen apart... would you be proud of that person standing in front of you?
