Is the mt09 not so fast like the AT ? Or are you just a safer rider ? Better be safe than reckless you ride very good but that at rider is hardcore Stay safe 👍✌️
The guy on the AT is excellent but you man, you’re the real deal, very conscious rider and not giving a chance for crash risk or dangerous losses of control. You’re riding rocks !👌🏻
Came here to say the same thing. Always appreciate fast, smooth riding, especially in the mountains where things can go very wrong, fast. And yeah, the guy on the AT know's what's up.
my guy he was passing coming up on blind corners how is he a conscious rider????? he was riding the exact same way the guy on the african twin was... he just couldn't keep up and he's on an MT09
Clean riding from you, man. And the sound is on point. I remember doing the same as the AT rider, sometimes go outside the lines just because I thought nothing was coming till one day I got another rider coming in extremely hot that I could not spot him. Now I'm never outside these lines. 😅
That was so hypnotic! Wonderful road and your bike sounds delicious. No stupid stuff here, really enjoyed this. I was watching your mate in front and noticed that he was really good on the brakes, both of you in full control, great stuff 👍 🇬🇧 🏴
For once, I didn't fear for the riders life at every corner. This guy knows how to ride, what a refreshing thing for a youtube-biker. Guy on the AT rides like a former pro racer.
Dam that AT rider got some skills and there's no taking away from you my guy ! Some good riding there... I had it before myself , I was on GSXR 750 hacking through the lanes , knee dragging and an Old guy overtook me on a Pan European 🤣 , Chased him down and we ended up having Lunch together. He was an old buy late 60s could barely get off his bike. Old school racer with lots of experience. Alotnof these Keyboard Rossis in here will learn one day. It's not always the bike but the rider.. Im not slow! That day I was made to feel like an armature..
Omg thats so true hahah, when i got into riding i thought nobody can beat me, i mean 1000cc fireblade supersport easy peasy right? Haha i got humbled so fast in the twisties etc, when old guys with packing boxes passed me like it was there way to work and i was going all out heavy breathing under my helmet 😂😂😂👌🏼
Way to crazy for me! You guys are fast! I save this for the track- WOW that Africa Twin is crazy fast, I thought the mt would reel it in out of corners but I was very surprised!
CP3 sounds boss. AT rider is on it! Trail braking, road knowledge and engine braking making them very progressive...Good to watch a clip without head in hands you both look well within your limits. 👍
Amazing video mate ! Was about to buy the 09sp but then test drove the new tracer 9 and fell in love, got her instead. But hey these cp3 are something else !
I bought a new Monster as my son wanted it when he passed his test which he has so i just replaced it with the new XSR900 in Blue, love the smoothness and sound of these engines will be keeping for a long time, just fitted tail tidy tonight, bit of a mission but did it. Great video.
The first guy seems to know the road very well ..very confident and skilled. He could lose you anytime but always was waiting for you. 12:00 riding the bike to its limit lol Personally I would never do that only on track. Generally speaking I don't think the Africa twin has a chance against mt09 , its the rider that made the difference.
Mad respect for AT rider. I can’t make myself put that much trust in the anorexic front 90/90-21 tyre. I changed my riding style completely when I switched to Honda AT Adventure Sports from my Tracer 900. It proves how just riding skill is important.
Whilst on a long trip on my Yam MT07 I've encountered a couple of Africa Twins ( with side boxes and everything they could fit on it, little that I knew next thing we were racing each other These two AT really did their best to keep up with my MT07 occasionally I would let one of them over taking me just to see how he was dealing with the bends but as soon as I had a chance I overtook him again, mind you though that the roads weren't as empty as in your video above. They were literally blown away by the acceleration of my MT07, I didn't give them any joy nor satisfaction 😆 They simply couldn't keep up with my pace and I wasn't not even on the limit ! Please note, I've had 4 Yamaha R1s previously but I must admit it did take me awhile to get used to the torque of the MT07. I must give kudos to this AT rider, he surely knows when and how to keep his bike with the wheels in line, as for the MT09 rider, he surely could do with a little more riding twists experience, use the right mapping at least you can mess about with it, my MT07 is pretty simple but with tons of torque to spare for the other bikes out there, nevertheless do take calculated risks whilst riding 👌
As a '17 09 and '19 Africa owner, I can assure the Africa is stupidly easy to ride at the limit, way way easier compared to the 09, you just need to trust the '21 front tire. The 09 has a much higher potential, but on the road you have to ride much more harder to get the confidence to push it. Great video!
Great point, this is what a lot of people do not understand. I am a sportsbike rider, 15 R1. On really twisty roads with bumps most people would be faster on an Africa Twin etc.
True that. People with BMW GS 1200/1250 smoke others. So well balanced bike. I know becuase people from my moto club has them. Can’t keep up with mine MT. Plus skill level they have.
I got a little dizzy watching this. I haven't ridden a bike in almost 50 years. Now I've been getting the itch for several years now. I started out wanting a Africa Twin. Here we are three years later and I still don't have a bike yet. Now I'm thinking about the 24 model tracer 9gt plus or maybe even the mt10. As a matter of fact, I'm going to look at a 2023 Mt 10 today. Whatever I decide on, it will be a 2024 model. Most of my experience was in the dirt back in the seventies. I'm not trying to get on to guys about how you ride. I get it completely I'm going to be cool on my stool, I'm to old to falling off a bike 😂
@Étienne butcher akra sounds like the stock and is much expansive, I won't suggest it. If you can go decat there were many good solutions, like yoshimura, but if u must respect the euro 5, way less sadly..😅
that guy on AT is sheesh but we have the same Mind set. Keep it safe! at the end of the Ride they will always wait for you before eating at your destination. ahahha RS brother.
I own a AT 1100 DCT......and it is fast.....but this fast??? haha. Great driving. I am interested in a xsr 900 or mt-09 sp also.....i owned a tracer 9 gt but did not like it. Have a nice/safe ride!!
Good riding skills and eargasm exhaust sound bro! just a quick request, maybe you can adjust a bit higher for your camera view so that we can see more beautiful POV of yours. Anyways, awesome ride! need more video like this!!!
No regret engine wise, since 200hp of the gixxer were way too much for narrow twisty roads that we are use to ride. Alwayes felt like not fully statisfied cause you have to use just 10/15% of the throttle or you will be skyrocket to thye moon. CP3 is still too much for the mountain roads but you can use way more power and you have access to it at low rpm. Too much fun! Cheers!
Nice roads! I have one question, can you please tell me what tyres does the honda have cuz i am also looking for some street oriented tyres for mine😁, thanks! Dry roads!
Thank you Marcus! Yeah he is more skilled than the avarge road rider, with a noticeable racing background. I think everyone should ride just for fun, without tryhard to chase someone way more skilled, don't know why many people here think we were racing...🤣
Holy Macaroni...I'd like to know what tires AT is using? And curious if its stock suspension with no height adjustment in triple trees? Impressive ride. Hypnotic if not Poetry in motion. Ha! Thanks for the upload.
Buona siera, very skilled rider(s). You are also skilled in my opinion. A lot of italien riders has it in their blood. Where in toskana are these kind of roads? I was in forte di marmi last time, but for family vacance. Forza italia 🤙🤣
Hey mate! Thank you for the kind words, glad you like my video! This is upper in the Tuscany region on appennines! No sea near, sadly! Have a nice day!🍻✌️
Sorry mate i have the same motor like yours and everytime AT and comparable like this try to challenge me , its a failure not to be 4 minutes ahead.Direct
Is it just my imagination, or did that other rider seem to cross the center line a lot at the end of that video? Good riding for you to not follow them in that. I’m just a beginner rider, though, so I might be missing something. Thank you for posting this, think I learned some useful things and I really enjoyed your nice riding!
Yeah mate he is crossing the center line, cause I think he have the visibility to do so, but sincerly I wan't reccomend to do this even when you can, to not take bad habit of cross lanes. You can have the same fun riding entirely in your lane! Cheers bro!
