Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 - Episode 14 "Divine Providence" Reaction 

This episode was better BUT still had some major issues. We just hope next episode which is the 100th Episode of the Series is vastly better!

I hated them lying to Daniel about Ophelia but I've got to say I actually teared up when he had those flashbacks of her in Mexico. That was the best part of the episode in my eyes.

Weird thing that I saw someone mention, was that the ranger actor (Dennis Keifer) that Daniel strangled with cuffs actually had an appearance all the way back in S3 E1 as random background character in the militia. Dude lived through everything and somehow ran into the same people only to die lmao.

That arc they gave Wes once he got in the tower come off as one that was meant for Howard. Whenever we saw Howard it looked like it was building up to exactly what went down with Wes!

Wes chased them through the entire building shooting at them and Alicia is mad that Stand killed him?

I truly believe that the writers wrote themselves into a corner and are now throwing whatever they can at the ridiculous canvas that they have created to see what sticks no matter how bad it is. I cannot wait for this season to end and I have never felt that way about prior seasons of Fear the Walking Dead or the original Walking Dead. These writers should be ashamed of themselves and ashamed of what they have put these actors through.

We desperately need new showrunners. Erickson only got 3 seasons even though he built an incredible world full of interesting, real characters yet Chambliss & Goldberg have been delivering overly dramatic tropes for 4 years now. How are they still employed? Check out any social media post FEAR makes. Every comment is the same...new showrunners. I seriously doubt bringing Madison back has anything to do with them. They were probably forced into it.

The only criticism i have of your views about FTWD is your opinion about Wes's arc. His arc makes sense when you look at his whole ideology. He entered the show as a survivor, doing anything he could to gain and upper hand and live. Hell, he even killed a guy for stealing his book. He only cares about himself. Alisha made him believe his whole ideology of "people are people" was false, and that there's still good people out there. He even killed his own brother with that belief Alisha instilled in him. But after what Luciana did, that shattered his belief and he reverted back to his "people are people" viewpoint. He thought Alisha and Co. were better, morally, but came to realise they weren't, and so he played Strand to take the tower - for the sole purpose of ensuring his own survival. He isn't a villian, he just wants to get rid of anything or anyone standing in his way - anyone that threatens his survival in any way. You can see it in the words he uses and the way he tried to talk Strand back around for "not pretending" and for the tower being "real".

When Daniel Remember Ofelia, there is the same soundtrack of Nick (4x03) and John (6x08) death scenes

when FTWD was competing with World Beyond, WB was a show that I looked forward to each episode knowing there was an end and to see how it led to any WD future storylines. WB was actually a pretty good show and can't really say that about FTWD at this point. With FTWD, it's more, let's get to the next episode to get it over with. Only one more episode to get over with so hopefully the next one that completes the season gives me something to look forward to in Season 8. Let's all hope together.

I really like that you guys do like the show but also give criticism when necessary. I really loved this episode but I also agree it had problems. There needs to be changes in the writers room for season 8.

I got to say I appreciate you guys for taking the time to watching and doing these reviews because I can't physically sit and watch Fear I feel like they're so bad that I feel like the writers should do commentary during the playing of the show so we can see what they're thinking cuz this is no doubt poor writing.

Also I felt nothing for Wes's death. They ruined his character. Why in the hell wouldn't he just go off on his own. He thinks Alicia, Morgan, Strand, everyone, is shitty. So just because Victor has a more stable leadership and owns the shit he does he's gonna join someone who he's thinks is just as shitty as the people he just left? I don't understand the thinking there.

I hope the writing for the Walking Dead spinoffs can improve over "The World Beyond" and FTWD. Damn.

Daniel looks like he was shot in the same exact place Morgan was when Virginia shot him and left him for dead. So I guess he'll be alright.

Madison is just going to walk through the fire and “make her debut!” Because this show is too silly.

They could've built "PADRE" at Lawton in Oklahoma now that I think about it. What was the point of the Pioneer Ark and Virginia. I assumed they were the Western Alliance of the TV series but just what the hell. Honestly, they should just head north back to any one of Virginia's communities, Lawton and build PADRE there.

Love your reactions, you guys are my favorite Walking Dead-related channel. I wish we could have the people in charge of season 3 back,show hasn’t been good ever since, even S6 was overrated.

Never known a actress/actor like adc In the walking dead universe that the hard core of their fanbase only watch fear because she is on the show and many of them only watch the episodes she is in, She also as the biggest fanbase on social media more than any other actor or actress from ftwd past or present

If they had ended fear at the end of season 6 they could have stopped teddy dropping the nukes and the majority of people would have said the series ended on a high

Yeah this season is just not doing it for me. At this point does anyone else think that the reason they are bringing Madison back is because Alicia is going to die? Expected so much more from this episode but not surprised how bad it was. I can't wait for this season to end so we can move on from the nuclear wasteland storyline Strand's tower for good.

The best part was probably Daniels scenes in the episode, like the scene with Charlie and Daniel. Alycia and Coleman still do a good job playing Alicia & Strand.

I'm very curious to hear your overall review of season 7 when it's over guys ;). Because i'm with you on all of it. And like i said before: HOW do you go from what many people think is the high water mark (season 6) of the show to THIS ?!. Personally i would still say that season 5 is worse because 7 had some interesting things and concepts. BUT it all fell short and they just couldn't make it work !.

They've gotta kill Strand off next episode. The supposed return of Madison, the 100th episode, it's the prime opportunity. Strand sacrifices himself to save Alicia and get her out of the Tower. That's gotta be it. You cannot redeem him. I love Strand, but I'm saying as a villian, there is no fucking way he'll just be accepted back with open arms after all the shit he's done this season, and even seasons prior.

This was the strongest episode of this season so far, Wes was exactly where he wanted to be, I just want to say that I hope they dont kill of strand, what there doing with Charlie is kinda weird. hopefully Madison is in actual padre and Morgan ends up finding her. lastly I hope they move away from the radiation story line. its all over the place.

NB's, brothers.....I hate to inform you that with Episode 15, I will have to thoroughly agree with you. Episode 15 is the most boisteriously filling episode I have ever seen. It's the large Marge wreck of an episode that you guys have only experienced but a taste.

I can't imagine the last 2 episodes of this season will be great. I hope Madisons return isn't ruined by the poor writing.

I agree that this entire second half has been filler episodes but I LOVE that they turned Strand into a villain and the question I have is Who does Strand love more? Alicia or himself

bad writing but you can kind of see it... strand has been like that, changing sides if he wins due to it. All he had to do was to say "no" in the elevator, but for some reason they had this "omg they have so many "soldiers" we have to surrender or end it" and that "backpedaling" on the roof was stupid because that bottom floor was open, he had nothing to stop them vs. if the tower was impossible to enter at all times.

Better Call Saul has finished filming. They need to hire those writers because they know how to write a tight script! These writers can’t write them self out of a paper bag! Also include all of the locations that have been mentioned in all series? I think this would be very interesting and it would be great to be able to find that info (when and where) in one place. Right now I have to move around everywhere to find pieces of that info. I think major fans would really appreciate it & like a video like that. And if not, just do it for me LOL. This episode was a disjointed mess. One second alicia is passing out from her "illness" the next scene she's sprinting into a room. Stran went from bad, to go, to bad to good, to bad...all in the time it took them to get to the roof. I liked the story, I just wish it had more coherence.

This episode is better, but... the directing this episode... When Alicia had the gun to Strand, she didn't use him as a shield and she was easily pick-off-able. There are too many to cite... excellent acting can only get so far; Grrh... One of the best scenes this season was Alicia, Daniel, Strand, Charlie Medical ward scene. Why is Wes being the way he is about Alicia? Last time they showed them together (S6) he was crushing on her. Strand's 180 makes more sense then Wes... Wes was the unredeemable one? Alicia on the radio; did the writers read their own script? Shaking my head; on to the next episode...

OMG this episode was all over the place LOL The showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg...you guys are the WORST!!!!!!!

Still too many head scratch moments for me to just let go of the frustration and enjoy it, but not the worst episode necessarily for me.

Season seven is a dumpster fire, but I actually like the setting and idea of the plot. So I was glad we got a bit of a progress here, even though it is ridiculous. Strand evolved to my favorite character since episode seven, "the potrait" was the best they came up with yet.

I had a great laugh when Wes died like that. I mean, yeah, like that. That was hilarious as hell. What happened to this show lately?

Best episode of the season this has been a bad season with only few episodes like this I've enjoyed loved it centered around my favourite characters Alycia strand and Daniel I'm so glad wes is dead btw loved the flashback to my favourite season 3 of the series

I do think Howard would have been best in Wes's shoes at the end. It should have been him. Otherwise I enjoyed the episode.

Agree this episode was, so weird. Wes storyline made no sense.

It’s a horrible relationship. Waiting for things to get better. Fear just makes my head hurt, but of course we keep watching. I hated how they did Wes like that. He had one of the few good lines in the story of you paid attention. Suddenly it was a 180, bad character development and story.

Now you've seen it was a back/forth,make no sense episode.

Wes was in the darkest place that he could have been. He gave up on everything else, he never forgave himself for his brother, he never got the answers about that which he was looking for. The ones that he put his trust in he saw as liars and he just actively decided to not care about anymore. Because it was the only thing he had left to do. Does it make complete sense? No, but seriously, there's SO, and I mean SOOO many things in the entirety of The Walking Dead with that exact same problem that being confused and/or upset about that is just most odd of all to me. Is it any weirder than the Governor? Or Merle? Is it any weirder than Daryl and Maggie turning against Rick that led to his supposed death? Is it any weirder than people calling Madison a good leader, when she's never learned from any mistake, while she only kept making mistakes over and over again as her main character trait? And for Alicia, she's upset about it, because she was sort of getting through to Wes, she believed that she could get through to him. If anything, she recognized herself in that, with how they were after Madison's DEATH, as she should still just be DEAD. Now THAT is a storyline that was utterly pointless in the end with her coming back. Again, you guys talked plenty about how there was a connection between the two. I'm pretty sure she even feels responsible for Wes having to have killed his brother. She cared about him. And there were other options than killing him. Seriously, Strand could have just cut off his hand as well. Anything apart from straight up killing him. THAT is what Alicia is upset about and I can't really blame him. SHe also didn't write him off either, she was just upset about it, until Strand had to make it all about him again and made things worse right then as well. She's right, Strand always has had choices, and just like Madison, he's always, ALWAYS made the wrong ones. You remember Nick, right? Madison being dead, actually had that mean SOMETHING. Now? With Madison unrealistically coming back. THAT is the most pointless storyline ever. Even Carl's death had way more meaning to it than Madison's storyline in total, or Nick's. So again, you guys are excited for Madison to come back, WHY? If you have so many issues with things that can definitely be explained, as infuriating as they definitely are. They make SO much more sense than literally EVERYTHING about Madison. What mistake did she ever learn from? What did she ever take responsibility for? Did she ever truly accept Alicia as her daughter? Did she ever save anyone? Did she ever grow as a character?

It's like they threw darts at a board to pick the story arcs for each character. This season was such a stupid waste of time. Just have Morgan lead this group to Alexandria. Be much more interesting having this group on the road on there way to Alexandria

I don't enjoy Alicia's character anymore. How do you expect to lead a group to war when you're passing out every 5 seconds and need to take a full rest to get better? So stupid. They're trying to force her as a leader, but honestly she doesn't make the best decisions. Yall cracked me up even though you weren't trying to be funny...I'm also frustrated with this season...nothing makes sense. I enjoyed Daniel, as always.

The best episode of the season so far but the writing still wasn't so great. I have to say, one thing I really hate about Fear and TWD is the overuse of deus ex machina (when characters are miraculously saved at the last second in the face of impending doom). Read up on the general advice about using deus ex machina - basically, it's often viewed as a sign of poor writing and the only time where it is really effective is when it is done ironically, otherwise most writing books advise writers not to use it - but guess what, you can almost rest assured that nearly every episode of TWD and Fear will have it... On the plus side, I do really like Strand's Jekyll and Hyde type of dual character - I don't think you can deny that he has goodness within him, but it just seems like he loves the bad side too much. 🤦

I just finished watching episode-15 and I just didn't like it, it's just not fair having Alicia die without reuniting with her mother Madison. they absolutely did it wrong it's just not fair: having Alicia die that way I'm totally shocked in tears 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I don't know what happened to the writers from last season, but they need to hunt them down and bring them back. This season is truly awful.

This show has gotten so bad that the only thing that will save it is being cancelled. Season 3 was amazing until they pulled the shit with Madison. Everything else since has been shit.

This episode was dumb!!! What was the point! The war they teased all this time didn't happen. Morgan vs Strand didn't happen. Padre doesn't exist!!! What the? And Wes! Come on Man!!!!

Daniel finds out there lieing from stran and he excepts it helps them get to the roof to shut light out and send a signal out with Alicia's machine and try to reach other people they fight and whole building gets caught on fire cause they knocked a hole in a gas jug then sparks a fire burns the building down they have to shoot there way out wes takes over trys to kill them both sorry but this was not what I expected was garbage 🗑️ these writers ain't worth a you know what sorry great video but this episode sucks

Atrocious nonsensical garbage. Alicia passed out 7 times while the rest of the cast teleported across Texas. The dialogue between Alicia and Strand was cringeworthy. Finally Alicia doesn’t go on the raft because she’s dying and may turn. Meanwhile, terminally ill Charlie sails off into the sunset. Lazy, abysmal writing
