This feature, previously released on Nintendo Video worldwide, is now available in a direct-feed format! Watch how the orchestra records the main theme of Zelda.
Koji Kondo is the man we really should be thanking. That man belongs up there with John Williams and Hans Zimmer as one of the greatest cinematic composers of all time.
Aye, although I confess, I don't know any other music by him. What other pieces did he make? Because both John Williams and Hans Zimmer made many many brilliant pieces of music. This is a brilliant piece, but one needs many to stand along with Zimmer and Williams.
And we all have to dress up like Link and Zelda! And some can dress up as other characters like the old guy that says: It's dangerous to go alone take this! --{:::::::::::::::::>
I am very sad to say that I was not introduced to Zelda earlier. Breath of the Wild was my first game. But in the words of the great deku tree, "better late than never".
I was gonna comment something like this. I was introduced to Zelda games just a little bit back some time in late 2020, and I fell in love the franchise. I finished breath of the wild with 170+ hours and then I went on to skyward sword when that got put on the switch and I’m still in that. I’m super glad I found out about this game!
Well, i must to say that my Zelda favorite game is A Link to the past. And OMG i love all story!!!!!! The legend of Zelda is the best game of all times!!!!!!
I remember playing Zelda Minish Cap on my Avance SP. Thats a long time ago and not even the first Game lol … You all should try Twilight Princess if you have a Wii or a Gamecube 👍🏻
Nerd Gamer An eargasm is.....you know when you hear a song or something so awesome it just can't be described? the feeling that comes from that is an eargasm. by my definition, at least.
I've never been a huge zelda fan, and the only game I've played of the franchise is Breath of the wild. But this is probably one of the best musical pieces ever made for a videogame. This song brings me tears of joy.
I'd recommend picking up A Link To The Past (SNES/emulator), if you really want to see where it got off the ground. I was a kid when the original series came out and couldn't manage the NES games, but the SNES is where it really took off.
Play ocarina of time, it’s the highest rated video game of all time for a reason. And fun fact, this main theme was written in a single day back in the 80’s by the composer ;) the goat koji kando
I've played all the Zeldas since the Nintendo first came out when I was a kid. I've always loved the game. My favorite is the first Zelda than a link to the past Ocarina of time.
For 34 years I’ve played Zelda, and everytime the music is just on point. I’ll be turning 42 when the 35th anniversary comes and im consider myself very lucky to still be apart of this from the get go. Here’s so at least another 30 more years
This is "just a videogame song" It is absolutely amazing how fantastic a song like this can sound, if played by the right people. Just mad respect to Nintendo if you think about the fact that this is "just a theme song" for a game. An absolutely beautiful orchestra song!
Can you even comprehend how epic this is? All these great musicians, gathering in one place, to record the music of the game of games? Makes me tear up in awe...
It literally made me cry. Just you know, when you listen to this, your mind and hearts are imbued with all of your old Zelda memories - struggle and joy through the adventures.
If a Zelda movie is ever made, this is what it needs to sound like, imagine: start to 0:50- Studio logos 0:50- 1:05- (insert studio here) presents a Nintendo production: 1:05-1:20- leading actors' names show up 1:20 onwards- title, opening credits and opening expository narration 3:19 onwards- closing credits
I've never play any game of zelda but damm it's theme is epic!!! after hear this, I will feel an irresistible pull towards a far away land in a quest for an adventure...
Right when the main theme starts I'm just hit with nostalgia and my heart warms and I start crying when I remember all of my amazing adventures in hyrule
I've been listening to this version of the song since I was in middle school and now I'm close to graduating from university. The Zelda main theme might be one of my favorite musical pieces of all time.
Every time I watch this, I get a little misty-eyed. The Legend of Zelda was a big part of my childhood, and to hear and watch an orchestra of musicians tribute Link and his adventures like this... Man, it hits different.
It' funny how everytime i watch this, i have a really hard time not crying. The eyes get wet, and by the second time the main theme comes, i'm already crying. It's more than nostalgia, there's something here that just breaks me everytime. Beautiful.
Yes it's a mix of nostalgia, childhood memories and something heroic that links you with the guardian of hyrule to fight the evil we have even in the real world...
+andy pella I'm a field diesel service tech I'm out all the time and on the weekends I'm out with my friends all the time... this just reminds me of my childhood playing games with my friends that's it lol
I knew going in I'd get hit in the feels, but yeah a 42 year man who got this game as an early bday gift back in 87 at 7 years old remembers being over the moon to get this as I had read bout it and then I saw that gorgeous gold cart & later after beating it I was enhtralled and fell in love. Now I just sit here with a stupid grin on my face with happy tears rolling down my cheeks. I will never ever tire of this theme let alone this franchise. Arigatou gozaimasu, Kondo sama. Truly a musical maestro!

GreasySwalls I imagine the orchestra is made up of all the characters in Smash Bros Ultimate, and the choir is made up of all the alternate costume characters (Ice Mario, Koopalings, Shirtless Shulk etc.) Link is leading one half of the orchestra with his Master Sword instead of a baton. Young Link is leading the other half of the orchestra with his wand. And Toon Link is leading the choir with his wand.
am i the only one tearing up listening to this? im 36 i grew up playing zelda. this song brings back thousands of hours of adventuring from the time i was a kid playing nes, till now. i will never forget my glorious adventures through Hyrule.
you can see on their faces that they really into playing. like look at the conductor, she was smiling everyone enjoys listen and playing the theme this is music, creats everyone's joys. and the game itself is so fun ^^ thanks for uploading this
Kimime_art most conductors smile because if they don’t and the players see it they think they did something wrong, so even if they hate the song they smile. But she could like the smile and we would never know.
Unless you were completely cut off from video games... this is everyone's child hood who is 49 or younger... So almost an entire cross generational thing going on. And parents who are now as old as in their 80's would recall the music as their kids played.
I'm 38, been playing Zelda games all my life and still whenever I hear this song.. there's a knot in my throat, there's tears in my eyes and my soul sings in joy... truly, a timeless masterpiece.
The difference between creating digital soundtracks using software and having a full orchestra is pinpoint precision due to each individual. This is truly a piece of art. Thank you!
Greg Stevens Usually I guess you would hear disagreement, but I agree. Valve isn't starting to go down the path of EA, they ARE almost at their level, 2 points away form it. TF2 is broken in so many levels, it makes me give up on it, I have decided to leave TF2 until they fix it... Maybe never.
Hyrule's overworld represent the infinite opportunities and challenges that awaits us in our life right outside our door. When I struggle finding the energies for exploring it, this song reminds me of the adventure that life is.
I Hope Not. Zelda Is One Of The Best Nintendo Titles, If It Ends The Only Best Is Mario With Its Boring Gameplay Easy Bosses And The Same Story Over And Over And Over And Over Again..
It’s amazing how little game has touched so many lives in a very real way .I remember the first time I ever played the game .Fast forward 25 years and I’m still playing Zelda .
