Having different weather types and season would be pretty interesting to see, with certain monsters getting buffed or nerfed in certain ways in certain weather conditions like Bazelgeuse and Barroth being nerfed in rain but buffed in sunny/clear weather, like Bazelgeuse's explosives would be weaker/ineffective in rain but stronger in heat. Seeing some other monsters returning would be cool, having Vaal Hazaak and Blackveil Vaal Hazaak would be cool as it'd introduce newer players to Effluvium if they never played or fought Vaal in MH:World. Legiana and Kirin would be really cool to see again as well, If we were to get more weapon types, I'd love to see more aerial combat weapons as the only aerial combat weapon we have currently is the Glaive.
I really want the tonfa back, with proper rebalance tho.. they need to be on pair with dual blades on damage but impact damage basically. I would also like a lance revamp where you can choose to leave your shield at home and do an evade lance style sort of speak.. evade dist +evade skills are outclassed by counters right now.
I am fine with them adding Teostra, Kushala, Rajang or Deviljho as long as they are not mandatory, just optional. They all got remade in World/Rise so they don't really need to change much. (Technically they could also add Lunastra as well and improve her World version like Rise improved Kushala). If they were to add old monsters they should give other monsters the chance. Blangonga, Gigginox, Yama Tsukami, Gogmazios, Dalamadur, Narkarkos and even Gobul (if underwater is added). Even bad monsters like Gobul could be made much better.
@@TheHunterProject I would also appreciate if they would add a better mechanic/gimmik to the game. Clutch claw and Wirebug make the game much easier (also Rise/Sunbreak is already very easy without using the wirebug). Also the Clutch Claw felt much too mandatory in iceborne, exspecially with some monsters (even kinda forced with Safi), to get good damage. Also it often didn't really work (exspecially when smashing a monster against a wall but the game doesn't register a wall), or that the wounding mechanic was really unfair for some weapon classes. Tbh, I rather have no gimmik like that than something similar. Movement (during fighting) was already at it's best in World (Palamutes for traveling are great tho). They don't need such thing like the clutch claw or the wirebug. Also I want them to stop giving weapons (exspecially the LS) those over the top flashy anime moves. I don't think they fit into monster hunter (thats why I don't like some Frontier weapons neither). Also even on the lowest setting, all those effects can be really bad and annoying during multiplayer in Rise, sometimes I cannot see whats going on with all those flashy LS move effects. And thats still on the lowest setting
One thing I’d like to come back are intrusions! They were like bonus quests you could do and now that Deviljho isn’t the only invader it would be cool to tackle them in intrusions before you actually fight them. It gives you extra materials and extra money as well. I feel like the seasons are likely to return, it’d be nice to see how it changes the maps. For example taiga areas could show some greenery in summer and snow for the rest of the seasons. Or even better Underwater areas being dried up or full with different seasons: MHTri’s flooded forest had deep water areas, but MHP3rd’s version had flat areas with no water, these can switch throughout the seasons. Im gonna be honest though, I don’t think it’s likely they’re going to give us underwater combat for a few games, it’s a controversial mechanic that was used for like 7 fights total. Monsters that could be fought underwater could be reworked but not only does that take time but a lot of resources as well. I think that they’re still developing and testing it, or maybe new underwater combat is still in concept.
About Underwater, imagine MH6 actually brings it back but actually expands on it with hunts on a ship on sea, where you could place down different sorts of artillery, each with their uses and then engage the sea monster you’re hunting. You would face beasts like Royal Ludroth, Somnacanth, Lagiacrus, and maybe even Ceadeus albeit Ceadeus could also have a phase where you have to fight it underwater. Just a personal wish of mine
@@tuck295q I personally think wirebugs underwater aren’t really that necessary, if they gave us wirebugs underwater it might hurt the feeling that you’re in the monsters home turf and how you’re at a disadvantage too much, tho they can slight buff swimming speed and even a slight buff for the dash dodge underwater to make it a bit more manageable along with fixing up how the camera works underwater where maybe you can set your sights on the monster or even a part of the monster underwater and have a easier time fighting underwater
Old school fans will never be happy, if they roll back all the things they have done to bring MH in the main stream it won't go well. I mean if you have been playing for such a long time of course it's not going to be as hard as it use to be, i have the same thing with FromSoft games that difficulty just isn't there for me like it use to be.
The main thing is i hope they make the next mh game more difficult as Specifically Rise made the hunters so much more versatile that it just gets boring to not have a difficult hunt. World also had those aspects but it was a little bit better in terms of difficulty
Really? I think overall difficulty MHR was better than MHW - for example I've never fainted first time playing Master Rank story, but in MHR Master Rank I got a lot of faints.
Guess depends on the weapon like long sword for example is on another level when it comes to counters in rise it's ridiculous you can just sit in it's face at all times without a care in the world.
It would be nice if they added the monster part exchange aka wyporium so that we could have monster gear of monsters that are not in the game like in 4 ultimate which made the diversity of gear and builds far greater.
I would love a big boomerang weapon. Kinda like a Great Sword. Charge for heavy hitting attack at a distance. Or a hammer with a chain. Kinda like a flail. Same idea, charge for heavy hitting attacks at a distance.
I want to see a hybrid weapons customization system borrowing elements from World's and a lesser known game called M.a.s.s Builder, it's a gunpla imitation game with deep customization, but it's pretty good. Worlds customization was great but limited.
Honestly i'd actually like to see the return of the hunter's tent from world and rise but a reduction in its options. Namely, I want the tent to only give you access to items you set up to be in it prior to the hunt, have it as a designated ressupply you set up prior to the hunt rather than just acess to the whole box. As it isit just trivializes prepping for the hunt and makes scavenging resources as you run low on potions or similar situations pointless, just go to the tent and get more. I think limiting the tent would help fix this alot (as for equipment, i'd set it up so you can only bring one other equipment set with you on a hunt, once again not the whole box) Another thing I think would be neat would be to bring in Tonfa from Frontier but just ground them a bit, have them as a medium speed blunt weapon with air maneuvarability akin to Insect Glaive, and just cut oit all the flashing lights and random explosions from Fromtier (Controversial opinion as well, do NOT bring the magnet spike. That thing is just... too much. Too anime, too stupid. It just looks stupid. Most MH weapons are a tad stupid yes but the cool outweighs the stupid but for magnet spike? Its just stupid, I am not a fan.)
after world, iceborne, rise and sunbreak I really just need Lagi and Ivory Lagi to sattisfy my new MH game needs. I guess I'll hunt Ivory for the 200th time in genUltimate Also, the critter collectible mechanic from World is something I hope they bring back because that made World go from an A tier game to an S tier game Edit: yeah seasons would be great tbh, the depth that'd add would be good for replayability as well. Making certain monsters stronger or weaker, and maybe even linking monsters only appear in certain seasons, I'd 100% be down for that
For new weapons, i think power gauntlets could be interesting. Pick up objects, bombs and hunters and launch them towards the monster. Grab rocks from the ground and do the same thing, punch, s2w, guard, maybe even incorporate a ground slam which causes a small shockwave, flinching monsters and teammates alike heh. Something thats a mix of hammer and DB, but instead of focusing on the head for KOs, its good at softening/breaking parts/armor. Its gimmick, say attacking a part repeatedly builds up a gauge which when full will allow for a power move which applies a tenderize effect on that part (similar to clutch claw tendy) but empties the gauge in the process. That or a sort of giant, chained beyblade lol
i hope the new weapon type is an aerial weapon like the insect glaive but instead of low but consistent damage, it works on high burst damage. somewhat like the weapons in aot or an air jetpack dashes you midair with blades
I’ve been playing mh3u recently and I’m actually pleased that the monsters have been making me faint where as in rise it’s super rare to faint due to the Hunter movement
I would love to see a weapon in monster hunter like a scythe, maybe it can work as either a normal scythe or a blade and chain situation, maybe even a scythe that can turn into a blade and chain situation?
I hope whatever the next games gimmick is, it isn't intrusive. So much of rise is dependent on wire bugs, not that I think they're bad for that game but I just don't entirely enjoy how much they dictate the gameplay.
I for one would be down if the elder dragon trio got switched up a bit with maybe bringing back Chamilous and letting Nameille, Lunastra, Vaal Hazzak, or maybe that bamboo elder from frontier replace Teo and Darora
MH6 needs to be open world and they need to add underwater combat again. Also please online with better servers, improve coop and add crossplay, thanks Capcom!
Oh and another thing. Imagine if part softening returned and was reworked as a brand new aliment (like say the Acid Aliment) Would be tweaked not to be broken ofc but also not garbage. I can imagine monsters like Great Jagras (due to stomach acids) and Acidic Glavenus gaining such aliment
@@askmeificare5557 which could slide in perfectly for monsters like Acidic Glavenus. Tho another existing monster I think could have the acid aliment is great jagras? But more so from its hard that has stomach acids covering it that inflict Def down than actually possessing acid like acidic Glavenus
I think we need to step back. I've had experience since monster Hunter, newer hunters have never experienced stuff I had to go through in the game I felt like every need to return a bit of that back to the current format what kind of a little bit more reimagined. In the newer games items don't feel the same. I remember when you used to do stuff like boomerang 🪃 with one and three chance of stunning The monster. For sneaking around to plant traps in their habitat route, in monster Hunter rise it's very difficult to even find spider silk and ivy while in the older games wasn't so hard to find any of these items to create traps. I know none of this does a factored into end-game but it's the environment that I cherish the most. Putting new weapons in the game is very difficult and time-consuming and can break the game. There were few weapons I believe that were released on the PC version but like I said they were never released because they were considered broken. The story lore wise elder dragons are considered calamities. An in monster Hunter there been so many calamities wiping out civilizations adding a new calamity with no justification for really seems like they're just desperate to put a new mechanic's which is not fun to deal with. Overall I just want to hunt every single monster while still feeling like I'm playing monster Hunter from the beginning. I think that feeling is more immersive and needs to return.
Tbh I'd like to see a beast tamer class where the hunter uses a whip. Bone tree is impact while the ore tree is sever. Maybe feeding the small monsters you tame different monster parts affects their element or permanently increases stats
Been Playing MH since Monster Hunter Freedom on the PSP and i will say it, we now have 14 different weapons in the main series and I’m sick of cutting weapons. We have two Blunt weapons with the Hammer and Hunting Horn. We have 3 ranged weapons that do Shot damage. The rest of the roster (9 weapons) does Cut damage and except for the GS and SnS that have some form of blunt damage (and I believe that’s a recent inclusion, can’t remember), that is not their primary function. But now that content from Frontier is, hopefully, making a real appearance in the main series (and not just a reference) well, give us the Tonfas Capcom. They would be a great Blunt weapon with a completely different playstile. Of course they’d need to be tweaked to not make them to op but they should had time to reflect and balance it. Really, any Blunt weapon whose mechanics would be different to the Hammer would be great rather than another edgy cutting weapon who would just be like “I can do the same thing as X but worse/better” because in that case, what’s the point of making a new weapon? I would also like to see a return to normal combat, with no weird gimmick that I’m forced to learn and use otherwise it feels like I’m being punished if I don’t (Yes I’m talking about the clutchclaw). Or make it entirely optional with not such a huge impact on the game. Just a normal, Hit, Dodge/Parry and Move. The classic deadly dance of a hunt. Call me old school but I think MH really shined with a simple combat mechanic rather than all the flashy stuff we have now.
I would like an optional single player difficulty increase, such that you don't accidently out armour monster and to make pre expansion difficulty more enjoyable for more enfranchised player via a completely optional quest modifier for single player quests when you start them, but it lacks any additional rewards such that newer players are not tempted to use it. The version of this I would like, would do this: Speeds up monsters, slightly increases their health, attack and part durability. Gives monsters a timer between being staggered so they can not be constantly staggered. Makes all monster attacks have a minimum damage value that it must at least be able to do regardless of your armour. When you are hit with an attack you get a temporary debuff that increases all damage that would be dealt to you, including damage that is at the minimum damage value. If the game normally allows restocking at camp, this would also disable it, otherwise you can engage with all other mechanics such as meals and wearing good armour. . . . Many people recommend that if you have a problem with monster hunter difficulty being too easy you should not wear armour or not engage with systems like palicos and food, but pushing threw difficulty and using everything available to you is part of the fun. Plus being one hit kill is not fun, you have to go threw a lot of effort to make monsters kill you in two to three hits but not have any moves that one hit kill you. I also don't think this should be too difficult to implement, we know that they have similar dials that they can spin to make event quests, crown monsters, multiplayer monsters and even different rank monsters. The fact that this only works on single player is also somewhat alleviated by having followers as an option to make these quests feel like the multiplayer quests that can not be changed into this mode. I did a reddit poll on the monster hunter subreddit, that got 154 votes and the results came in with almost a fifth of the voters would use the feature in this form, and more then a fifth would use it if the details were slightly different. Both results were honestly a large percentage of yes admittedly a small and biased population(especially considering that not only is this people that use that forum but also are willing to vote on), but if this wouldn't take too much work to implement I think it would be very useful. It is worth mentioning that this poll was before followers were allowed on normal quests, I think the results would be slightly higher now.
Sounds like quite a good system tbh, could help with the difficulty issues while not excluding any players that may find the game too easy or too hard naturally 👍🏽
I want to see baby monsters instead of just eggs and full grown monsters. Would be cool if the babies made female monsters more aggressive and territorial too.
Lagiacrus narjarala nerscylla durambaros akantor ukanlos the morhans dalamadur dire miralis crimson and white fatalis and a few reimagined frontier and online monsters that need proper balancing And weapons tonfas and the magnet spikes thats pretty much a good chunk of my wish list for gen 6 mh *edit* forgot 2 monsters..........bring in ORISHI KIRIN AND MOLTEN TIGREX it's be far to long since we be able to hunt them in main line mh games
Yes so it was excellent mechanic, but definitely had its flaws with an overhaul being a smart decision so they can build it from scratch instead of taking a flawed system and trying to fix it. If it’s easier for them to do that then they should but of course that’s for the developers to decide. So what dude said, made sense 🥳😂
I'd like to see more immersion and roleplay value in monster hunter. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but i really liked the fact my hunter could speak in rise. I'd like to see more roleplay in that sense. Apart from that, fuck counters, they're ruining the game.
I hope to never see underwater combat. When it comes to underwater or even flying if it isn't the main focus of the game then it's more than likely gonna be poorly implemented. So it would more than likely be bad either way since it would be main focus alienating players that don't enjoy it or poorly implemented meaning nobody will enjoy the gamplay just those that enjoy the "immersion" that comes with it like you saw in MH3.
I only use one weapon type so I don't care about any new weapons. I only play mainline games and I hate the handheld ones so nothing from them is fine by me. I trust the A team with their decisions as long as underwater stays dead
I hope we continue to no longer see multiplayer only siege monsters. It's a huge stain on iceborne for me, and I've been glad we didn't see a return of the same in rise or sunbreak
We just need World graphics+environment, Rise mobility+combat and 4/Gen/GenU hunter arts. Hunts on cocaine, vs monsters on cocaine. See who becomes the prey.
Stop hoping ! Capcom dont Care anymore about the mh fans ! Dont you see those pityfull sunbreak updates? ( 2 Monsters last updates ) Monsters hunter 6 probably the last when you see wild Heart
As someone who started with world and really desired more counters to help me survive (yeah skill issue), I really appreciate the additions of counters in rise. It opens up my playstyle and allows me to be much more aggressive than I ever could. I hope they stay.
