I do miss the dual back weapons and the arm guns. Story-wise a path helping Balam or one siding with Nightfall in the end would be cool.

@@Christopher-eq1rn I don't think it's ever explicitly stated, but one theory is that he was helping with Allmind's coral release project. That, or maybe he just feels that the PCA was the biggest threat since he was responsible for leaking the existence of Coral to the corporations and the PCA seems to be the only thing he fights other than 621.

@@Christopher-eq1rn from what i'm gathering from the lore I think nightfall was onboard with coral release, considering nightfall leaked that coral survived the fires of ibis to the corps. Just not sure if nightfall was onboard with AllMind or not.

In this Era of online play always being there, I would LOVE to see co-op missions or even pvp missions where one team tries to accomplish an objective while their opponents try to stop them.

Overlooked features from past AC games; The ability to "unintentionally" breach your employment contract on a mission by either destroying/stealing the object of your defensive mission OR commit "friendly fire" on your allied ACs. To which results in opening a new line of missions or spring an ambush early on a rigged contract that is meant to take you out.

I definitely think it was a smart choice to keep AC6 more focused and maybe a bit easier to figure out than some of the earlier games. But hey now that from soft has something that works they can get crazy with it.

It's kinda weird. Difficulty wise the combat is some of the most complex out there one I'd say harder than games like for answer and verdict day for me personally. However there's no threat of permanent failure which definitely makes things a lot more lenient@@williamhicks5693

I think AC6 was in part a return to basics for the franchise. It's been away so long, that they needed to pare down things so the mech building process is more approachable. I believe for certain we'll see a lot more of these aspects moving forward now that the series is getting the spotlight that it truly has deserved after all these years. What they have now is a good stripped down base compared to a lot of the zaney things in previous titles, for which they can add things in and tune them to fit the new build of the game. That is if we keep this base and the series doesn't go dormant for another decade or two, which I really hope isn't the case again.

I heard somewhere that the game as a whole was a "tech demo/test" to see if the series was still viable in the modern game space. Do you think we'll see DLC that adds more stuff and/or more complex customization and whatnot? I get what From means by that if they actually did say that, but as this is my first AC game, ngl it would leave a very bitter taste in my mouth for me to have bought a 60 dollar game only to be essentially shafted with the fact that I bought the game with by far the least amount of content with no hope of anymore.

@@dutchvanderlinde248 If we're to go by the history of the series, and they plan to stick with that, they will probably release a standalone expansion title. But this game is breaking new ground for the series, so the future is uncertain.

I do hope they decide to make it DLC, but with the option to buy it standalone. Would just be convenient to have all the parts and missions in one place, instead of having to close one game and open another. @@Blakobness

In additional to the dual back weapons I was really surprised weapon arms didn't make it in. I guess they really wanted to highlight the hangar system.

The hangar system is a carry-over from how ACV handled back weapons after all, they just seamlessly mixed it with the more traditional Back Weapons. While having hangar weapons stored in the Core would've been really cool to see back it really is a matter of a limitation created for the sake of balance

That feature has never been in AC from what I remember, maybe in 5th gen? My memories of 5th gen are only VD and I don't remember much but I do know that you could miss match arms in DxM but not AC

Those hover legs look really bad ass too. Honestly everyone, just be patient. We’re already getting another Armored Core anyway. I surmise All of the things were asking for and then some will be included. This game is just so dam amazing I can’t even complain. There’s definitely some stuff I’d like added but man… what an amazing action packed high octane cinematic ride!

The only real things I want from DLC outside of more parts is to let us side with Balam and/or Branch. I'm especially salty about not being able to learn more about Branch since they are the reason that the corporations are back on Rubicon. After seeing the EX Arena mod I could see them having their own arena in a similar way that Orca from 4A do.

I really missed the shoulder attachments that were in AC4, and presumably at least a few other games, that gave access to things like extra shielding, flares, more missiles, etc. Really missed those flares when dealing with certain missile spamming enemies... and I'm so fking mad that the LCs and helicopter boss have them but we don't. Not fair, man.

What we need: Sniper builds Gun Arms Anti-missile parts Light Quad legs Physical/solid shields with their own HP that absorb ~half impact damage Hover legs Shoulder mounted chain/gatling/mini guns Dual wieldi mele Old gen head aesthetics 2 handed/Heavy weapons Auto shotgun Auto grenade launcher Solid/physical kinetic Sword/melee weapons PvP matchmaking Co-op missions Multiplayer game modes (Capture the flag, hordes/waves, defend the VIP, etc) More boosters More cores More generators

Veteran AC pilot here, and I agree with you. I loved the more complex nuances the older games....but I'm happy wet even for a new game. I'd love a remake of AC V and Verdict Day

@@Whodat arm weapons... Or actually I was imagining a retro mode where you can pilot older style acs from previous games against other generations. But that's too big of an idea to happen lol. I would love to have the wall jump kick mechanic from AC5 come back... And maybe some mode where it's all manual aim except missiles

The feature I miss the most are arena battle replays, which start immediately after a fight is finished. They really helped me see my mistakes in targeting and dodging, and made the game feel more strategic to me. I had so many moments like "Oh, I should dodge these missile patterns the OTHER way!" And it's really cool when you win the fight and enjoy it all over again, but this time you can admire the spectacle, instead of just focusing on staying alive 😂I really hope they can integrate replays again in the future.

Yeah on PS4 I often clip fights after and watch them and then pare the clip down or delete it after. Definitely would be good as an actual feature in the game.

Something that I think would be cool is S Rank reqards, like say for S-Ranking Balteus you get a special missile launcher or somethin like that. This also ties into my desire for the ability to use not quite AC parts

Utility items are a cool idea. Like a shoulder mounted radar array that works for e.g. 3-5 seconds when activated (with a long cooldown) and gives you a boost to FCS capability or other stats. That would be dope.

Am I one of the only ones that remembers Silent Lines AI system? I would LOVE to see that make a return. I got sooo much replay value out of the game because of that feature alone. I made so many AI arena's with MY builds. And it was tough. I remember my friends and I would swap memory cards and try to beat eachothers AIs that we trained ourselves. I would love to see that return. I want extension and inside parts to return. I also want tuning to come back. That feature was great. alongside that I would love to see the optional weight parts make a return. for balancing the weight load of the AC. Lastly and maybe most important. They need better weapon and part variety. Missiles have the most variety our of any weapon type. Old AC's had a couple parts from each corporation for each weapon/part category.

We know for a fact that shoulder extensions once existed at some point during AC6's development. Since we can still see the attach points on the shoulders in the release version.

The thing about Nineball, and you did mention it off-hand with ALLMIND, is that he's always there in some shape or form in every generation even if he's not there by name. Gen 1 of course has the OG Nineball, and Gen 2 is the same timeline so it gets free, but Gen 3 technically doesn't have Nineball but it has a bunch of Nineball-*like* things such as The Controller(DOVE), Ibis, the Mystery Weapon Prototype from Nexus (that the ENG Dub calls Nineball but isn't actually Nineball) and the Pulverizers. Gen 5 has Chief and J as well as the rep from The Corporation. I guess really only Gen 4 doesn't have a Nineball equivalent (no, O'Brien in 4 and White Glint in fA don't count. O'Brien is a living human and White Glint in fA is more like Leos Klein than Nineball) I'd honestly really rather seee an Armored Core 6.5 much like they've done in the past, where they build up from the currently established world of 6 and go from there, since every Numbered AC entry is a whole new set of rules and usually a new "world" or "timeline" in most cases, completely disconnected from the past just like how 6 is separate from everything else. The only exception to this is, again, 2 which is a direct sequel to the 3 games from Gen 1 Other than that I really do agree on a lot of the points that you made, though while Dual Back weapons were really cool, the fact that you could equip duplicate weapons on your back and fire them simultaneously since Gen 4 really made them kind of redundant. Why have a Dual Back Gatling when you can just have one Gatling on each back unit and do the same thing after all

I think itd be cool of the dual back weapon was more like one large weapon, like a giant artillery piece your rip from the cataphract, or a railgun, that forces you to be grounded and play a bracing animation to fire, but does massive damage

Gen 3 had Nineball. He was the last boss of Armored Core Ninebreaker. That was its final canon appearance in the franchise

personally though for now the base parts you can change is basically AC1 era and personally thats a good start while not over giving options to potential new players. switching hanger weapons with weapon bays from 5th gen is the best compromise they made for this action alone considering that AC6's base was built from ACV specificially. I do wish shoulder weapons/inside make a comeback but are only relagated to shoulder slotted arm units perfect example here are the melander arms again very 5th gen with the dual or single inside part or no options and act like a core expansion of some sort the compromise is more gimped controls but heck would that matter?

the things that i would like to come back most are the weapons arms, dual melees and in general more parts/more types of weapons: we barely see any full auto weapons and just a handful of coral weapons

I know this is going to sound petty, but I'd like to see more coral weapons and Institute AC parts. Maybe something like a variant of the CEL 240 that could be piloted. If the HAL 826 is supposed to be the stand-in for Nineball, maybe this AC could be the stand-in for White Glint.

I'd love an intro mission where you play as an MT pilot protecting a base against an AC. Hell, maybe build up a private army a la motherbase from Metal Gear 5. Hell, a multiplayer mode where you have more specialised machines like the MTs, Tetrapods, LCs and HCs, plus aerial units in something like an attack/defense mission where you have opposing objectives would be better than just "kill that AC".

Dual back weapons are actually useless in armored core 6 or better to say, they already exist there. What i mean is you can just take two of the same weapons and place them on your back , and if you fire them silmultaneously , the effect will be the same as in old gen ACs and it was that way since AC4, cause it allowed you to use both your back weapons at the same time. What they really need to bring is the arm weapons and weapon bays. UPD. Well yeah, i remembered the linear/laser cannon from old gen and oigami - giant grenade launcher from ac4a , so it would be cool to see those type of weapons in new ac games.

Cataphract PCA boss as parts. I don't care how far fetched it is, I love that design. It makes tanks look like giant offroad baddass, it sucked to me when I learned from the trailer that it was just going to be an enemy instead.

As someone new with AC6, I do really like some of the ideas in old ACs, but others I would argue would probably just be unneeded or intrusive to the flow of play, like only having specific FCS's/radars that could lock onto to bioweapon enemies. Just having biological enemies would be freaky enough-it would just be annoying if I had to dip to the garage at the start of a mission to do something as basic as lock on. But more bioweapons in general would be a great idea, ton of great potential for unconventional enemy design and horror! Shoulder weapons sound cool! The limitation on taking up both shoulder slots could be a useful balancing tool for FromSoft in terms of making some powerful or funky weapon parts. And mines/flares/anti-missile defenses could also be neat shoulder weapons. I would say it would be cool to have more factions in potential DLC stories, however I think the factions we have are so well liked in no small part because they are so well developed. The Vespers, Redguns and Liberation pilots show a nice variety of perspectives and personalities in their organizations, so my only concern with more factions is that characterization could be diluted if not done carefully. Similar thoughts to more branching missions/mission variety-it would have to be done carefully, as creating whole new levels/scenarios for each branching choice would tax the dev team. However, something like choosing which side you're on in a major battle like The Wall would be grand.

11:30 YES but that also turned quite a few people off, Like some of the other "missing features" you mention. The high barrier to entry on the series really helped it to become the hidden gem it is today. That is part of the reason FromSoft did what they have with 6. They dumbed it down a bit if you will, for the kids in the back. I would like to see most of these features make a come back myself. Id also LOVE to see the battle speeds get back to the 4A levels of Gundam Trans-Am-Ness.

Back Slots, Shoulder Utilities, Consorts / UNACs, Stabilizers, and the multiple booster system in 4A would be incredible to see again. Also now that cooling is for weapons and won’t cook you anymore, seeing radiators return would make sense. Also more legs that aren’t Bipeds (there are three Tanks, three Reverse-Joints, and two Tetrapods), more BAWS parts, and we’ll have the definitive best Armored Core game!

An inside part that handles utilities like old inside parts and extensions would nice. Lock on jammers, flares, missile/scan decoys, etc. Some utility parts like this are available, but they take up a full arm or back slot, and I don't think that's often worthwhile. Dual back parts were only good when you could only use one back weapon at a time. Many features that used to be linked to the core are present but distributed, and the game is better for it. Hangers use back slots and can hold full sized arm weapons. Overboost is controlled by booster stats. EOs are a back part.

One thing I would like to see is more Doser factions, so far we've only seen R&D and the opposing doser faction. They reminded me of the War Masters(War Generals?) from Last Raven as they are an independent force/company compared to the other factions.

Something I really want to see return, are forest types areas for more variety in combat zones. Also could be cool to have more stages where everything you see can be destroyed. Other features I want to see return is the ability to create AI controlled ACs which you can program in the style of Formula Front. Possibly with a dedicated Arena consisting of uploaded player made AC AIs. The Conquest Mode of ACV/ACVD should also make a return for more online content starring players and their teams. While as far as gameplay feature goes, I really want the wall jumps and the ability to turnoff boosters on air to make a comeback. They seem like a small feature, but they ad a lot to the gameplay, particularly when fighting in obstacle rich areas. Otherwise, recon drons and Overed Weapons were also neat additions from Gen 5 that I wish gets implemented in future installments.

Speaking of destructible environments, From made the Otogi games back on the original Xbox, hack and slash games where just about everything in the environment could be destroyed. You were actually rewarded for destroying everything in a mission and could choose to replay missions with your last run's destruction already in place to make getting that reward easier, or even to open up routes to certain tricky enemies to ambush them. One level you could tear down an entire fort, and end up fighting a boss in essentially an open rubble filled field because not even the walls are still standing. AC 6 does pretty good on destructible environments but it was treated as a selling point in Otogi and I'd love to see the fact we can destroy things in our giant mechs given some more focus like that. Even go the opposite direction here and there, have some destructible objects that are collateral damage, won't fail you the mission if you destroy them but will take a cut out of your pay. Would make you really respect the power you're using imo.

CO OP play. imagine a giant boss with 3 friends, or make pvp missions, so one side has to defend, the other has to attack targets, no matter how, make multiplayer missions with co op play a good feature would be the return of training AI companions so you can use them to solo the multiplayer missions extension slot on the side of the shoulders to add extra missiles, shields, boosters, or even ammo.

I wish weapon ranges return. Hell, look at the *PISTOL* you showed on 4:46. Its range is equal to the longest ideal range among Arm Weapons in Armored Core 6 with the VE-66LRA at 220.

If they did this theyd need to increase projectile speed, the fcs would have to fire so far ahead if a moving target past 250 m that dodging becomes trivial. Also Im pretty sure the kurosawa has the longnest ideal range at something in the 300s

@@bobbuilding7264 Karasawa only has an effective range which is 630 (some weapons don't come with an "Ideal Range") And no, making the projectile speed faster and range of weapons longer doesn't trivializes dodging. If a bullet fired to reach a target at 100 meters travels at 100% speed, it would take the same reaction speed from a bullet traveling 200 meters at 200% speed. Dodging was a skill back then and now, even missiles are easy to dodge just by moving on a single direction. It is just weird how weapons in this game are comically short ranged.

If they did that, along with the ideal range changes, the game would be more fun, or at least the weapons would feel more distinct, bc rn, the range difference between something like the harris and the ransetsu isn't significance to notice in gameplay, especially with the ricochet mechanic.

Personally I like to see the weapon arms, inner core parts, cores with orbiters instead of OB, and shoulder extensions and arm mounted shields all make a teturn I'm like 90% sure we will get shoulder extensions in the future because you can see the extension attachment points on designs for all the shoulder units. Unfortunately I doubt the core storage weapons we'll make a comeback they had more of a reason and older games where resupplies and longer missions where ammunition management was more critical that with the shorter mission durations Henry supplies just don't make them necessary in 6. But I do miss the long grueling missions from the older games and I kind of hope to get a few like that in the upcoming inevitable follow-up

AC6 was my first Armored Core game. It was a little overwhelming at first, but now Ive gotten the hang of how the parts and stats work in building ACs, I find myself thinking it'd be cool if we had a couple more mechanics involved just to widen the build potential even more. So I think it'd be really cool to see something come back as an additional mechanic in an AC6 sequel, DLC, or even AC7. As Im definitely interested in Armored Core going forward.

You get a like purely from mentioning Nine-Ball at the end (my display picture doesn't show my bias....noooooo). If they go the DLC route with AC6 then I would imagine seeing The System that runs the PCA being Nine-Ball, sending unique LC and HC "Hustler Squadron" units, eventually ending up with a Coral-Infused Nineball Seraph unit.

Here me out Dlc idea going off of the liberator of rubicon ending: Rusty survives his crash landing, and sends out a distress call. The first mission is you tracking this down and rescuing him. However, nightfall raven survived your previous battle with him, and confronts you right as you reach rusty. But instead of fighting, he seeks to work alongside you, because they need your help with taking down the PCA and nineball at the top. Maybe nightfall knows about nineball because of his connection to the legacy of raven. So the dlc is you, rusty and nightfall working together to bring down the PCA, and ends in a 1v3 battle against nineball

I wished to these things return as well, especially the arm weapons. Fighting the Acs guarding the journal log in the swamp where the bonewheels are, makes me want to try arm weapons. The only thing that I disagree (Kinda) about this video is the reintroduction of nine-ball. The devs did say that 6th gen won’t be connected to any of the past generations. But I would love to see a nine-ball equivalent. And also boss weapons, like weapons based on the bosses that you fight. Let’s say, Ibis’ drones or a laser cannon based on the eye of the Strider.

We need over a thousand parts; Dozens of variations of EVERY weapon type, arms, Leg types, Cores, Heads, generators EVERYTHING needs to have at least 10 options per category, 10 sensor heads, ten tanky heads, ten barebones heads, ten pistols, ten burst pistols, ten smgs, etc., WE NEED HUNDREDS MORE PARTS.

Anti missile defence systems would be really nice counter to those lightweight missile boat builds which can be encountered constantly in pvp , so there should be more counter measures to abusing certain mechanics or weapons in game

its funny coming into ac6 from only having played the souls series and realizing that despite how paired down ac6 seems to be compared to what ive seen from the old games, the souls games, despite their reputation as being really complex and difficult games is actually the simple and easy series compared to armored core. The balteus fight, dustys second fight, ayre and allmind are some of the most fun and challenging bossfights ive played in any game and my hope is that 6 was the "toe in the water" game to see how people would judge a game that is a lot more complex than the games they have more recently released and if it was well received they would dive deeper into the older games higher complexity

Basically what we need is at least one DLC that adding new mech parts and missions and expands the lore and the story of AC6. Oh and of course we need real Nineball, not ALLMIND(I think she's interesting, but we need our old buddy back). And in the next game we need some various gameplay mechanics and features from previous AC games. And it's not really hard to do, besides considering Yamamura said that he would like to return debt mechanic, we potentially going to get things that you've listed in the video and maybe even more. Sooo... All we need is to wait.

Radar would be kinda useless cuz hardlock (but better missile indicator would be great), ac6 just need more options like adding extra 5 or 7 ish parts for each components would be really nice. The thing that bothered me so much in ac6 is the TUNING SYSTEM at the moment tuning system in ac6 is just a free upgrade not an actual "tuning", you don't tune each individual parts anymore it's just a free stat boost. Also fix stagger system and add heat meter when you're assault boosting, It's just mind numbing to see people just becoming an overboost ape without any consequences.

If theirs anything I would like to see more of from a ac6 dlc is more arm verity and versatility. Like maybe a arm type that stop you from having shoulder weapons in exchange for the arms that split into 4 and shoot 4 guns or two melees. Maybe even a subset that when the arms split one set grabs the base of the other to extend range and shoot around corners. With specific pros and cons of the arms depending on if you have them combined or split. Or maybe have a core extension that adds like a extendable/retractable tail that independently attacks threats by spearing them - thats on a cooldown timer. Tl:dr - I would just like to see them get really creative with some weird stuff that can drastically change how you play. Like letting you play something more like a c-weapon than a ac.

The biggest thing i wanted out of AC6 or to future AC games is like you said more Branched out missions, more choices, more endings. I want mission thar if you pick them they let go into a diffrent path, like not letting you access some mission and also unlocking other missions. I want to choose to side with different cooperations and factions. And i woudlve loved if they included the human plus program and going in debt. That would allow them to make the game harder while making it possible for people who are having a hard time with the defficulty to potentially be on the prgram. But i also understand that they didnt include it. Also i didnt like how you cant make a long range build, i wish that you could equip a long range rifle and snipe enemies from afar. But all weapon would recoshet at that point. Except rocket launchers, but theyre harder to hit from long range.

Anyone remember Last Raven when parts break ? I love 6 but I have to play with the music off. The music from Last Raven, Another Age and 2 were the best Imo...would have loved an ability to use blades in the right arm and the dual weapons.

What I would want in a sequel: More AC parts. Build a team of ACs and recruit NPC pilots. Use team for base assault missions like “The Wall” and giant boss fights like “Spirit of Mother Will”. Online Co-op missions for the type of missions used offline for your AC squad. Maybe base building like in Metal Gear Solid 5. Where you defend your base from attacks from NPCs in offline mode. And other players can attack it in online play, solo or with their AC squad.

I don't think dual-linked back weapons would work, given the new simul-fire feature in 6, but weapon arms (even though I never use them) would be cool to see again. Something that was lost after 4 was the "scope" camera where an extra screen popped up to see what you locked onto in the distance would also be cool. Something that was interesting was how there are brands in the assembly that didn't actually play much into the main conflict of the game, at least not directly.

Id love for Armored Core to draw from one of Fromsofts early works: Chromehounds. The main MP mode was the big war mode where factions battled each other over objectives and technology advanced over time, releasing new components and weapons. The Ravens work as a way for players to be given jobs that have them join or face eachother on the behalf of the factions and gives strength to one of ACs themes of "An ally yesterday may be an enemy today". Maybe there would even be an option to work up favor enough to join a faction permanently and get big payout and part reward benefits for being restricted to only taking that factions missions. Just a thought, but jeez Chromehounds was way before its time. The only close enough example is maybe ESOs war or maybe MWO?

I think the reason why Hover Legs are no longer a thing is because there are no missions where there was a legitimate threat of failure when touching the water. Any mission in ACVI with water isn't even that deep, with it barely reaching a quarter up the legs of most builds, and any mission that has large drops now just teleport players back to a spot with minimal penalties. Contrast this with older AC titles such as 3rd Gen where there are water-based missions where sinking past a certain depth (usually when nearing the waist-high mark) would cause the AC to sink and fail the mission. This allowed for hover legs (most of them, anyway, as some heavy hover legs still require active use of boosters to stay afloat) to circumvent that niche issue. I'm in full agreement with what you've said so far regarding these additions. One thing I'd like to add is that I hope that future AC titles allow us to dual-wield melee weapons again. I'm not a blader when playing AC but I like the option of having twin laser blades or twin pile bunkers as backups in case my ranged options are depleted.

I love the video I think they wanted to try and make sure people got into the game series with AC6 considering how elden ring was meant to be hard but not as challenging as like dark souls or bloodborne plus Armored core had practically been dead for years so to bring it back and try to mesh so much stuff together and make it diverse but not over complicated I think is the right move I think it sets up hopefully for a new Armored core and gives us a really good series comeback

More than anything else I want some forms of co-op. Co-op missions and some form of co-op wave/survival mode would be some awesome. I would love some form of endless survival that just keeps getting harder and keeps throwing bosses at you.

I'd say there's not much point to dual back weapons, in the sense of a weapon where you have the same thing in both back slots. In the older games they served a purpose because the controls didn't allow you fire two weapons at once. With AC6's control scheme there's not really a place for that, no meaningful difference between a twin weapon and simply two weapons. Now what I _would_ like to see is single weapons that take up two slots. Example: A single huge linear cannon that takes up both back slots. You could set it up so that one trigger readies the gun and the other fires, kind of thing.
