Please make a correction: Days of the week are categorical nominal. Please use one hot encoding , can not be encoded as 1,2,3,4. Does Thurday have more value than Monday ? Your videos are very good. I have subscribed to your channel.

I have same doubt weekdays can't be considered as ordinal categorical features? They are nominal.. please someone clear my this doubt?

@@akashgayakwad9550 weekdays do have an order but certainly no day is higher or lower in any sense than any other day...treating them as categories and employing one hot encoding would serve the purpose, I believe.

hey all, Thanks Krish Sir for a great video. Just wanted to update that dt.weekday_name will not work, instead try this dt.day_name() to get the weekdays. Thanks.. :)

how ordinal encoding is different from the label encoding?. in both techniques we are assigning labels/rank to each category.

How do we handle non-categorical string value features, which are different for each row? I think those features will get eliminated during feature selection.

Can't we just use sklearn LabelEncoder? whats the difference between doing it like this and using .LabelEncoder?
