The last 6 minutes presented with stoppages cut out, of the February 12th game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Northwestern Wildcats.
Northwestern seemed to have this game totally under control with the clock running down, but things began to spiral out of control, and with half the fans backing the visiting team, the game built to an entertaining conclusion.
As we begin, Northwestern (white) leads Illinois (in orange) 55-41, with Illinois having just made a shot.
Terry Gannon and Stephen Bardo have the call.

I will have to agree with Keeper028. NU gave away that game but the boys in Orange made all the shots and plays necessary to steal this game. Great game, great win for the ILLINI.

Besides the Arizona game in the elite eight a few years ago, this was the best come back i have ever seen in college basketball.

Northwestern isn't a garbage team - they have several quality wins this year and are very likely to play in the postseason. In fact, they are that kind of team that nobody wants to play...they could end up going deep in March. Win a couple and suddenly you're on national TV in Madison Square Garden. This year has been a big step forward for the Purple - they just need to secure 3-4 more Big Ten wins. Quality road win for the Illini. Nice to see them get one after the MN / WI train wrecks.

I would have to say that although i do feel that the Arizona game during the elite eight was a better game, and of course on a bigger stage. I would have to say that this game ranks in my top comebacks of all time. GO ILLINI!!!!

I wouldn't say it was the best Orange Krush road trip ever. Minnesota three years ago was a better game and came down to the wire, Penn State two years ago was simply awesome. Those are just two of the four I have been on that were PROBABLY better than this one, though not by much. Michigan a few years ago was apparently awesome, but I didn't get to go to that one.

I actually felt bad for Bill Carmody after this one. This was arguably their biggest game in a decade and they blew it........really really badly.

what a terrible game for 35 mins by Illinois...NU was running their offense, handling the game very well until 5 mins to go...tough to watch them continue to do this. NU is a very good team this year, but seem to have trouble finishing games. I am in the Orange Krush and what an incredible time this was to be there but still...we played poorly til the end
