Hi, great bwm. We had a very low spend for our variable expenses out of necessity for feb. The month went better than I expected.

In a seperate spread sheet, keep track of the assorted diy savings you are accumulating. This will likely include some back track listing. But for example, on the well repairs you were quoted @$2500 and diy'd at @$700 for a savings of @ $1800.

@@kronsonfamily undoubtedly $1000's! For a rough, quick and dirty see if the flooring sa,Epperson at say a Home Depot, Llwes, or even an actual flooring company can give you a rough estimate by the square footage. Of course the number of corners as well as the trueness of the corners can affect both the cost and also the finished look/ quality of a hired job. Do npbe sure to keep a receipt file and a bit of a journal to levy against capital gains upon the sale or the passing on of your house and property. You may want to photocopy thermal print and some printed receipts while the printing is still legible; often itnis good to keep the original anyway.

Do you have a sewing machine or any sewing skills at all? With a baby on the way, a toddler in tow, a house, and more a basic, heavy duty sewing machine is as important as a canner for saving money small and large. A lot can be done with a hand needle as well. This all the more so if you are ammeniable second owner, second hand, repurposed, and all the rest plus mending.

I have a sewing machine but I've lent it to my sister. I usually prefer sewing by hand for smaller repairs anyway since it can be faster than setting up the machine and trying to remember how to use it.

Hi 👋 Are u not at all concerned about having your savings in a bank that doesn't have a physical branch? e.g. is online only

I'm not really worried because they are FDIC insured and I can access them through most ATMs if I really need to. I do all of my banking online and it didn't even occur to me that I needed a physical bank until I tried to cash that savings bond 😅
