I will definitely do a full review on that one! I am really looking forward to that one as well. Sometimes I like a guaranteed home run. Thanks for watching!!!!
Great TBR. I think the best case of the film being better than the book is Jackie Brown by Tarantino, which was based on the book Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard. Tarantino changed the main character from Jackie Burke to Jackie Brown and it made a huge difference.
I think Pride and Prejudice, the movie, was better than the book. At least the cinematography was nice...... :) Still don't like the plot though. Thanks for watching!!!!!!
Fantastic list!! I have only read the handmaiden tale out of these. I hope you like the Jane Harper one! I keep hearing good things! Hope you enjoy them all! 😀😀
Thanks! I am a little behind on my reading schedule so I hopefully I can turn around the last half of the month. Oh, February, why do you have to have only 28 days? :) Thanks for watching!
I would love to see you do The Name of the Wind. Then the Wise Man's Fear. Then A Slow Regard of Silent Things. Then the Lightning Tree. Others must know the pain of waiting for The Doors of Stone.
I added The Name of the Wind to my TBR. I did just sign up for NetGalley so I will have to keep my eyes open to see if I can get my hands on an ARC! Thanks for watching and the recommendations!!!!!!
What a list ! I haven't read "Little Fires Everywhere" but it is on my shelf, I've heard really good things about Once Upon A River. I look forward to what you think of "Little Fires" the book compared to the series !
NetGalley just approved me for my first book so February will be especially interesting!!!!! I am excited to see what the book group though of Little Fires Everywhere so at least I will have a sounding board for my ideas. Thanks for watching!! Have a great week!
No, NetGalley is this website where you can get *FREE* ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies). These are the books that have been written but haven't been released to the public yet. You request them and then if approved, you read them and write a review. It is a good way for publishers to know how many copies of a book they should print. You are also encouraged to post a review on your channel, blog, Twitter, GoodReads, and/or Amazon because it generates "buzz". And you can rate a book honestly. So far, I have only requested books that I preordered and was going to read anyways. My first book is What Comes After. I can't remember even where I heard about it, but it is supposed to be for people who like Where the Crawdads Sing so I am almost giddy with excitement!
I just read The Handmaid's Tale. I did like the TV series but I also liked the book. I noticed that the series cut out a few parts. One of the cut parts was really deep so I still got value out of reading it. That being said, I am not a visual person so the TV series is really helpful and I love the vivid colors! Thanks for watching! Truly appreciate the support-it means the world!
I'm sure I've seen shows that were better than the book, but now I'm struggling to think of any 🤔 It feels so crazy to think we're at the point of looking back to 2008, but it is over a decade ago! Hope you have a great reading month!
I also feel like I watch TV or a movie, and I am shocked that it was actually a book. LOL! I REALLY loved the TV Series Sherlock so I wonder how I will feel this year when I read Sherlock Holmes. Thanks for the kind words!!! Hope you enjoy your February reads as well!
