Taking a break from our normally scheduled CSEPP video; Mike, August, and I filmed this lovely 2T22 back in November. This thing has been moved several times as construction was occurring at the water plant it's located at as well as the park next door, but now it is roughly back in its original position with a new and interesting coat of paint. It would seem it's running off of a phase converter. Personally, the contrast of the silver against the seasonal leaves makes this one of my favorite shots. Enjoy!
Boyle County sirens are tested on the first Friday of each month at noon ET.

The main reason it is so low pitched it can’t eat the air do to the pole or it’s just a underpowered motor performance

@@New-England-sirens-productions Considering this is most likely a 2T22A, it probably has an underpowered motor. If the motor was in proper working condition, the pole blocking the intake would make the pitch slightly higher in comparison to a 2T22 with both intakes open. To make the siren lower pitched (considering the siren's motor is fine) you would need something to compel air into the intake. This can be heard on a Thunderbolt when its blower is engaged then disengaged while the siren is running at full speed. With the blower on, the siren's pitch drops. With the blower off, the siren's pitch raises. Blocked intakes increase wind down time (as shown on this 2T22), and also decrease sound output. So this 2T22 is probably quieter than your average 2T22.

Over than sounding sick, it seems they've mounted it wrong. The bottom intake is so close to the pole its hardly letting any air inside

How lazy were the people that installed that all you have to do it put a triangle between the pole and bottom damper and there you can just bolt it in and leave
