For the second Wednesday this month, we decided to go to this Equinox in Ottawa for the Putnam County tornado siren test. This Equinox was installed to replace the Model 2 next to it about 10 years ago. They were about 10 minutes late with testing on this day, but they thankfully started up shortly after we called the county. This one packed a pretty good punch, topping at 117.3 dBC on my meter. It was about on par with the one in New Carlisle to my ears. The STH about a mile away from this siren can be heard at some points throughout the test, and if you listen real closely, you might even be able to make out the Sterling in Pandora way in the distance after this winds down. Enjoy!
