For the Polk County siren test, I chose to head to the Roundback 2001-DC located West of the Ankeny John Deere facility. This siren is one of the 2 Roundback DCs sill standing strong in Ankeny. I decided to fly my drone to film this 2001 from the skies, but things didn't go too well after the sirens deactivated. Given that I was still figuring out how to fly a drone at the time, I accidentally backed it into a tree, causing it to fall down from pretty high up. Fortunately, the drone did not get stuck and it only suffered minor cosmetic damage as the drone flew well in future flights like nothing ever happened. From this experience, I learned to be more cautious flying my drone around objects where it could crash into such as trees and power lines.
