Sorry that that the title says "Noon Whistle". I first thought this siren was sounded for a daily Noon blast. I decided to go to this STL-10 in Perry, IA to record a weekly test. I initially thought this was a noon whistle (due to the fact the siren only sounded for 15 seconds), but I heard that Perry's sirens only go off for a short period of time for weekly tests. On the Dallas County EMA website, it is said that Perry's sirens (including this STL-10) are supposed to be tested every Saturday. This siren is located at the Perry Fire/Police Station, mounted on a communications tower. It had a nice, healthy sound, and I liked the tower mount too.
