Test time: 1st Saturday of the month at noon

For the first Saturday of April, we decided to carpool Alex and Benicio with us to do another Wood County/Auburn duo. We originally had plans to go elsewhere with our good friend Dylan, but unfortunately, those plans fell through and Dylan wasn't able to make it, so we did this instead. I'll start this off by talking about how the Wood County test went. We tried the 3T22 in Grand Rapids, but a local told us she hadn't heard it for the past few tests, so after debating for a few minutes on what to do, we decided to split up. Tommy and Alex went to the 7V8 just south of town, while Benicio and I decided to stay and risk the 3T22. Clearly, our streak of bad luck with Wood County wasn't quite over yet, because both sirens failed to activate, which means no April Wood County videos from us.
Thankfully, Auburn didn't disappoint. This time, we decided to go to their other properly-wired Thunderbolt. This one rotates at 2 RPM and hits a perfect chopper level 5 pitch. It also throws out some pretty nice reverb due to the buildings around it. This time around, DeKalb County tested within a minute of noon, which was an improvement from the last time we were here. This Thunderbolt is even louder than the north one that we did the month prior, which probably makes sense because this one rotates much slower and it has more buildings in close proximity to it. From my memory, I would say this is about on par with the former Krout Elementary 'bolt in Tiffin, if not a tad bit louder. Throughout the video, the STL-10 and the 8 port Fedelcode from downtown can be heard. The 8 RPM 'bolt on the north side of town can also be heard winding down after this one shuts off. Despite the Wood County bust, I'd say this test definitely made this trip worth it. Enjoy!
