In his prime, quite probably, the greatest fighter who ever lived. He always showed respect towards his opponent, never trash talked and always conducted himself with class. Long live Fedor, truly "The Last Emperor".
People talk about how he's overrated and has never fought anybody, which is completely false. He beat 5 former UFC champions, including Antonio Nogueira twice, who is one of the best UFC heavyweights of all time. He slowed down as he got older, but in his prime, I honestly believe nobody would be able to beat him.
There people (maybe except Jones) wouldn't stand a chance against Fedor in 2005. Or in 2000. Or even in 2010, when Werdum scored his upset victory. But around 2005, when Fedor was in his prime, no one could've beaten him and it is proven by his record when he fought the best of the best from all over the world.
I love how Fedor said NO to puppet master Dana 'douchebag' White. Fedor: 'Dana doesn't treat fighters like human beings, he is very disrespectful and sees every fighter as his personal property.' Dana: 'Fedor is a scared kid who would get his ass kicked in UFC, he is a nobody in mma untill he has fought in the UFC.' That's what kind of person Dana is, he gets pissed off when someone doesn't do what he says. I'm still hoping that one day a fighter loses it after one of Dana's rants and kicks the shit out of him.
Stig Lauren I couldn't agree with you more. Dana White is a spoiled little bitch and it kills him that he couldn't buy Fador. Fador has proven that he is the best of all time. he is also proven that you don't have to act like Anderson Silva or Muhammad Ali yes I said it to be great you can be humble and kind.
Fedor is the Greatest of All Time. Only once in a generation or lifetime do you see as complete a fighter/martial artist. Only a few fighters can you watch and learn something new EVERYTIME. I am still learning from watching his old fights, training and seminars. 1) Striking - controls distance better than anyone I've seen yet. Hand speed of a lightweight with KO power. 2) Clinch - still best clinch game with tight over/under grip. constantly in motion to make opportunities to takedown/throw 3) Throws - best throws I have seen yet 4) Ground and Pound - is there anyone close? 5) Submissions - he explodes into his armbars from guard, There are no constant submission attempts, seems like he sees an opening and just explodes 6) Mind/Mental - needs no introduction. Who else walks into the ring like he's going to the store to pick up some milk?
I remember when I was 12 and I was staying up late, changing TV channels hoping to find something interesting. Then I found a MMA match: Tim Sylvia vs. Fedor Emelianenko. They showed them in the middle of the ring just before the fight was going to start and I saw how much bigger Sylvia was and then I said to myself "I hope the small Russian dude doesn't get killed, is he even a heavyweight?". Then the bell rang and...HOLY FUCKIN" SHIT, the "small Russian dude" dismantled the guy, that was twice his size and was supposed to be a top MMA fighter and a former UFC champion. I was speechless. The next day I googled Fedor, saw his highlights and I thought "Damn, I have watched so many boxing fights with my dad, but never have I seen such a fighter, he is the definition of a warrior." And since then, for me Fedor is the essence of the word "warrior" . Conor McGregor, Floyd Mayweather, Jon Jones etc. are all great fighters, but they are showmen, they care more about PPVs, money and ratings, than they care about fighting. Fedor goes out there to fight. Simple as that. And boy, did he fight-no excuses, he doesn't give a fuck about weight, gloves, height etc., he just goes to the ring and tries to obliterate the man in front of him. A fucking legend.
Emelianenko ins't só small. He is 1,83m, 103kg. Randdleman and Hunt are heavyweight smaller than Fedor. Off course, there's a lot of them bigger than Fedor.
I think there are a LOT of people who would never be interested in MMA if it weren't for Fedor. He's more than just a fighter. He's a legend for a lot of reasons. People who say he's overrated need to listen to dozens of top fighters who say, without a doubt, that he's the GOAT. ❤️
The best ever in MMA! It doesn't matter now if he loses 10 in a row - everyone loses at some point, everyone. But Fedor Emelianenko totally dominated the world of MMA at the very top level of the sport, in PRIDE FC. In times when PRIDE was more respected and considered the supreme organization compared to UFC. And Fedor wasn't only the heavyweight champion, he dominated the heavyweight division for 10 years, beating anybody who stand against him, often in the first round and in a brutal way. Fedor Emelianenko is the best ever in MMA! Not just a personal opinion, but a fact. Period.
Cold as ice, strong, fast and he had not for once an angry staredown to his oponents. This guy took Cro Cop in his prime with punching skills and also took Minotaur in his prime first to the ground and then finished him with punches. No other man could do ground & punching tehnique on such high level.

If you saw him in the street he looks like a normal guy. Behind that normal exterior is the hardest most dominant heavyweight fighter of all time. The best ground and pound of all time, never left it to the judges if he could finish he would. I only wish he had been in UFC for a bit. He could probably dominate the division now!

I loved this video. PRIDE was the best MMA organization before and during Fedors' prime. The UFC was a bushleage organization like Single A baseball compared to PRIDE. The UFC bought out Pride and shut it down to get their fighters. Here are some of the PRIDE FIGHTERS from Fedors' time in PRIDE. Rampage, Anderson Silva (3-2 in PRIDE), Chuck Lidell, Allister Overeem, Mark Hunt, Mirko Crocop, AxeMurderer Silva, Josh Barnett, Nick Diaz, Takanora Goma, Matt Huges, Forrest Griffin, Big Nog, Kevin Randalman & Mark Coleman UFC champs that Fedor destroyed, Shogun Rua, Dan Henderson,and Ferbricio Werdum to name only a few. Great post. He will be always the best, ever. Regardless his few losses at the end... that was not Fedor in his prime anymore. In his prime nobody could beat him. All the comments from Dana White and others that Pride was "Fake"... please, get real. Fedor should never had gone to the States. The worst decision he ever made, it was really not his "scene", and I'm talking about the attitude in the UFC. Pride was far better. Hope Fedor has a good life now without any injuries to haunt him when he gets old. He's a true master, a beast in the ring, a kind and respectful human being outside the ring. Like Achilles, his name will echo through the ages.....

I was training freestyle wrestling getting ready for my first competition coming up in 10 days and I was training with someone same size as me but fare more experience I had only 4 months of training while he had years and we were going back and forth getting the best of each other, so we decided to have a full round just to end the training for today after some rest while resting I watched this video while looking at him I don't know it's like it gave me super powers I went there and dominated him

Fedor was a real maschine,no matter chinese,tall,fat,caucasian,black,thin he destroys everyone that time..he is real Emperor,one and only..no one can make history like Fedor,because no one have such big heart..,he is so insane..i can't understand how face without emotions can show so much feelings,very very humble man,i know that people love him but i feel like he's underrated...
Beyond blessed for my gift but the day I stepped outside my comfort zone and learned to trust ppl was the day my life BLOSSOMED... Always was humble but knew my potential been a student of the game from childhood and knew something was different about me and preached for years why I always struggled not cuz insecurities but I could sense things and knew nobody would understand. After years in Vegas I finally discovered there were others maybe not just like me but in my REALM clearly built different in order to discover them I had to start focusing and OPENING my eyes and LISTEN which is hard cuz I'm hard headed... Sometimes your forced to be patient just like me it takes time to grow and EVOLVE
You can see the greatness in just one glimpse. Something is going on behind the silence. Might not look scariest but the baddest man on the face of the planet earth in his prime. I am just gonna post some facts for those shitheads who refuse to believe that Fedor is if not THE GREATEST then for sure one of the 2-3 best p4p fighters ever. 1st : Fedor never left his village in Russia for good, to train in top level gyms arround the world. 2nd: Fedor didnt have world class sparring partners on a daily basis 3nd: Fedor wasn't even following a diet from an expert sport nutritionist. 4th: Fedor didnt even consume supplements let alone roids and TRT which many UFC Fighters use for a fact. 5th: Fedor was a natural middleweight that dominated the heavyweight division for 10 years, while today u see HUGE fighters for their division e.g Romero,barao, aldo, weidman.(weidman) 6th: Fedor dominated the Pride Heavyweight Division which at the time was by far the most competitive heavyweight division in any organization. 7th: Fedor was the only Heavyweight known for his belly down armbar. NO OTHER heavyweight was ever able to use that submission more effectively, not even Mir, Werdum and Gonzaga.(who are most likely the most dangerous guys in the hw division on straight bjj
