Hi Lori, We totally understand. The reality is most men in Texas or Southern region will likely pass on a blazer in the scorching summer. In most restaurants, you'll see a lot of polo collared shirts and unblazered button down shirts. 😕 It's just the reality of the times. We sincerely apologize for the late response. But at a 55cm, we recommend you order a small fedora at 56cm. Our hats include hat resizing foam tape, which you can affix to the sweat band of the Fedora, to reduce the Hat circumference from 56cm to 55cm. A 54cm would be too small and probably uncomfortable. Hope this helps! 🍻

Hi sir, No it's not really a big deal. The only issue would be that your hat size would be larger with cornrows or dreadlocks. Many celebrities with longer hair like D.L Hughley or Deandre Jordan are known to rock wide brim Fedoras with their hair styles. Please see our how to measure 'Hat Size' video below. Hi Mr. Edwar, That's a great question. There aren't any strict rules on what not to wear per se. It really all depends on the climate. Some states or European regions have more moderate summers of 60-80 degrees where the weather is more forgiving. However, and with that said, a straw hat is most recommended and best for an outdoor event. Especially one with no shade coverings or AC. The only real downside to straw hats is that they aren't as heavy in options or easy to find in a plethora of colors (Navy, Burgundy, Green, etc) overall....it sounds like you're on the right track though. Wear what ever Fedora makes you the most comfortable for your environment. 👌🏾

Yes they can. However, some styles of Fedoras look better on certain headshapes. i.e. slip, oval face (all kinds of fedoras) v. Boxy v. wide faces (Medium to Wider Brim Fedoras) Perhaps a vide on this soon! 🍻 Thanks for the question.

Hi Mr. Lewis, Thanks for subscribing to our channel as well as providing your comments. This is always a great comment that requires an equally in depth response, so here it goes. We actually discussed that topic in this video, as another of our subscribers Mr. McCaskill, brought up the subject in our ‘5 ways to wear a Fedora’ video. As you can imagine, this a fedora lover’s channel, as we are obviously a fedora loving brand ourselves. We also have experienced this exact issue first hand with Fedora & restaurants, and have done countless research on the topic. That research can be summarized in the following catch phrase… “wearing a hat indoors is a sign of disrespect” originating from soldiers taking off their helmet in the presence of a lady or when entering a building. Really?! It’s 2022. We can hopefully agree that a person wearing a fedora male or female, is not disrespecting anyone, and that we are also not soldiers in a medieval time, wearing iron helmets that hide our face. And so we stand by our comment, that this an outdated rule that many still try to uphold, without clear knowledge or understanding, of the purpose of such rule. Furthermore, over the years, upscale dress continues to decline as workplace, restaurant and event dress codes, continue to be more and more laxed as the days go by…especially since COVID. It’s unfortunate that restaurant managers and hostesses will allow shorts, open toe sandals, sneakers, designer or graphic t-shirts, and even athletic apparel to upscale establishments but will frown at the sight of a fedora. This is simply preposterous. Lastly, there is absolutely no breeding of arrogance here. As a fedora wearer yourself, we also hope you can agree, that wearing a fedora requires bit of planning and co-ordination with an entire outfit and suggests that a Gentleman not only takes pride in his appearance, but put quite a bit of thought into his attire. And so yes, Fedora wearers are not always but often, better dressed than the status quo. We think it’s quite sad that we live in a world where hard working upstanding citizens, are being punished or inconvenienced for expressing their sense of style and making an attempt to look the part. The Fedora is an art piece, a statement of style, and we are proud to wear it. It’s high time we start thinking freely, questioning certain rules, and indulging in the true art of dress and appearance. We hope you have enjoyed our thoughts on this topic, and that it helps shed further insight to the comments in the video. @@s_gents Thank you for your quick response. By the way, I ordered the Olive Geoffrey on a Wednesday, and it arrived Saturday! Talk about fast service! I received an email Wednesday afternoon stating the fedora was shipped on the same day I ordered it, so I was pleasantly surprised at the fast customer service/shipping. I must say it looks fantastic and can't wait to wear it. Ok, now allow me to address your response, and I truly appreciate we can agree to disagree as civilized men. I do understand that we're no longer in ancient times where the reasoning of the removal of headgear was the rule, but here's my question. Could you or would you feel ok with wearing a fedora with your Sunday best at Sunday service? Whoever is the first male to pull this off, I salute you. :)

Spot on Jay...but what does one do when there are no hat racks or hangers in a restaurant or any facility for that matter? Also, while in the military we were instructed to never take off head cover while armed. This is protocol for police as well. I think that customs can become outdated and old fashioned...I am open to change.

I think what I was trying to communicate, that a Fedora is a sign that one takes pride in his or her appearance, and it is by no mean a sign of disrespect as it were in ancient times. And with that said, restaurants are known to let many who don't fit the dress code off the hook. I think as men, we 'must' take a stance on changing the narrative, rules and norms. Because if we don't, who will? Speaking to restaurant managers across the globe, is hopefully a way for the Gentlemen community to communicate to the hospitality industry that we are not a fan of outdated rules, and that it's time for a change.
