Purchased a hat on line. Upon opening the package, I discovered my hat was crashed. So I googled how to straighten a straw hat and you showed up on RU-vid. WOW I watched your video and I almost forgot that I had a steamer. The steamer solved the problem now my hat looks great thanks again! 😅
Thanks for chiming in...but shorts are cool. Not everyone is a fan, confident enough to wear them, or for one reason or another unable to pull them off. But for the men who like to let their legs breathe, a fedora and hat combo is definitely a cool summer combination. 🌤 Remember, when it comes to style...not every look is for everyone.
I liked most of the looks. Only 2 I'm a little unsure of are the sleevless look with the neckerchiff. Neckerchiffs are slightly feminine, so that look would have been much better with a gold or silver necklace. The second was that the brown military overshirt with the federa & made you look like a park ranger. 😂
Hey Sean, First off thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the video. Those 2 looks are the most unorthodox, and so it totally makes sense why you may feel that way. With my personal style, I try to step out the box quite a bit, especially when the opportunity presents itself. And that's the great thing about style...it allows us all to live a little, take matters into our own hands, and indulge in self expression...within reason of course. Gold or silver necklace would have looked great and wouldn't have been a bad choice, but again quite 'safe', not to mention predictable. With a western themed outfit, a neckerchief and fedora combination seemed to be a perfect pairing. I can see why some may consider a neckerchief feminine since it can sometime resemble... 'a silly little scarf'. However, a neckerchief when worn right can be a sign of confidence and masculinity, especially considering its historic origin. In the 1600s, sailors wore neckerchief to address the discomfort of sweat, dripping rubbing against their stiff-collared shirts. They've also been worn by scouts and soldiers, and utilized as bandages and slings, in the event of first aid emergencies. Outdoor workers like construction workers, farmers, and cowboys paired them with their hats to protect their faces and necks from the scorching sun. Others wore them to avoid being labeled 'rednecks', a term used to identify hardworking lower class American men, due to their sunburnt necks from working all day in the sun. Ironically and historically, a neckerchief wearer was as masculine as it gets. Now of course I'm simply wearing this as a style accessory, but it's a pretty cool back story wouldn't you agree? Oh, and I'll tell you one thing....you've never seen a park ranger look this cool so I'll gladly take that as a compliment.....😆😂😂. Haha but on a more serious note, the patch pockets, ink, jewelry, straw fedora plus stylish mules, help come together to make the outfit a lot more intriguing and respectable in person than it probably did on camera. Thanks again for watching...you guys are awesome! 🍻
I can’t wait to rock my new fedora. Had it sent to my brother in NYC, Canadian duty killing me 🤣. Now I need to grab that polo you’re rocking. 👊🏾 Another high quality video showcasing impeccable styles 🔥
Huge fan I’ve got several fedoras from you. Any chance of doing some custom work for any upcoming wedding? Just looking to get a different color band to match their color theme for the groom and his groomsman.
Hey sir, Great question. We don't manufacture custom hats or garments at this time, and those type of items demand a MUCH higher price point and one-off production. However, I suggest styling any of your Fedora with a bandana or fabric tie, similar to our Naked Fedora at the beginning of the video at 0:11. You can find really cool fabrics with different textures like burlap, soft denim, or corduroy at your local premium fabric store. Then put in a long feather in the knot of the fabric and add a stylish pin...and you've got your own custom Fedora. 🤠
Shorts and Fedoras are such a stylish combo, especially with a short sleeve collared shirt. Trust me, I definitely discover some cool style hacks myself while styling and putting outfits together for these videos. So we're definitely all winning! 😎🍻
So glad that fedora is becoming mainstream. Americans used to belittle me over the only hat I had. Them exchange students spent money on booze and sex while I bought hats.
The hat is never the problem, but the way you style your clothing is, For example If you're wearing a black vedora then you need a black suit and tuxedo to match it
Or if you're trying to go more casual And this one's full of my black people out here. You can wear a black frodor with a nice clean africand it will come out looking amazing.
Well done, brother and personally for me and for all the black people here. The best way to style a black Fedora is within African t-shirts.If you want to go pan african style or just selling so
For my B-Day I got my first fedora from S-Gents last week. Not realizing it, I put it on backwards and posted on my IG. I just went with how it flowed with my style at that moment. Is wearing a fedora backwards common or am I just an oddball?
Same rules apply. Nothing different. Bald or Full head of heat, a beard or goatee is really all that's needed to pull off a Fedora. Check out our more recent Fedora videos on the channel as well. 🍻
Hey there Isaac, Yes no problem. If you're in Florida, then you're definitely dealing with Texas like heat. These shirts will pair well with 7-9" inseam shorts 🩳. Check out our Summer Shorts video from last month in case you haven't already. Relaxed fit trousers will also work well. For footwear it's up to your preference, but you can choose from sandals, plimsoll sneakers like Vans 'authentic' sneakers, or suede or leather loafers if you're interested in a more dressy look.
I've been rocking these shirts for years, best advice is the only material you should be getting is silk and viscose, second would be synthetic silk blend or rayon but they won't last as long. For the love of God never do polyester
Gave a Stetson short brim fedora away to my friend, it fits her and she has the fashion chops to rock it. Have a Stetson triple x three inch brim that fits left.
