Hopefully he will, but if he doesn’t: a lot of the principles still transfer. Prioritizing speed development, not running reps for the sake of reps, giving them time to rest and recover, etc.

Coach, following your program has resulted in a few school records for some individuals this season and a lot of team success. Still there are some Coaches that believe a program completely absent of grind has somehow limited what our sprinters could be. They believe training sprinters to run during periods of discomfort is an important part of any good program. It helps them when there are back to back State Championships with prelims and finals. I disagree but don't want to be dismissive of any work that will help our sprinter perform well over 2 and 3 day meets. Your thoughts Coach? Do I need to include regular grind work for kids to have the speed strength for multi-day meets?
